Problem with Km count in Ingress

Today my account suddenly started getting lots of Km, although I've been at home for hours.
Around 18:35 (UTC+2) I noticed Kinetic capsules were ready, renewed them and 5 min later they were ready again...
I tried switching fron Wifi to mobile data, restarted the phone, but it didn't work. I have just disabled Distance Tracker too and that seems to work, but lots of Km are already "done".
I also checked my Pokémon Go account just in case and it was fine, so it seems to be something related to Ingress only.
Is it safe to activate Distance Tracker again?
