Upgraded vs. non upgraded nomination

Hi,
on August 28th I nominated two wayspots. On 29th I upgraded one of them and left the other as is. Yesterday on 31th the nomination without upgrade went into voting. The upgraded nomination is still in queue. Is that normal?

Yes, if you upgrade too close after submitting, you are actually extending the In Queue time. This is because every nomination has to stay in a somewhat locally different cooldown before it can leave In Queue, we call it Grace Period, and in most areas, it's around 2 days, but can be up to a week.
Your upgraded nomination should enter voting in the coming days
Also make sure it is not actuall saying "upgrade next", because that status is only to mark to get upgraded as soon as you earn an upgrade, it is not the actual upgrade itself
