Potential Email Bug

Back in March I was on my travels and came across a wayspot that had a small error in its title, so I submitted an edit to fix the mistake.
Yesterday I received an email informing me that unfortunately my edit had not been accepted. However, when I've checked the Wayfarer app, it appears that my edit has been accepted.
Did the email system get confused here? Or is something else going on?

It's possible somebody else had submitted the same edit and theirs was approved.
