Keep getting rejections. Please help

Dear Wayfarer friends,

I really need help for getting this location approved. It has been really frustrating process.

it is a small basketball court with large picnic area within a community. The location is very close to major road and can be easily reached. If this is a private place then most of the playground should not be accepted as a Pokémon stop with the same reasoning.

Here are the information about the nomination?

what should I do to get this poke stop or gym approved?

I can understand reviewers being skeptical of this. There are two nets in your photo, one appears to be permanent (the one in your main photo) whereas the other appears to be moveable. Neither appear to be on street view or satellite view, and the plot of land they're on is in the middle of a load of private residences.

I do believe you that the wayspot exists in this location (at least the permanent hoop, I would advise against including anything to do with the second hoop that can be moved), and that it's a public area that isn't on private residential property, but you'll need to do more to convince reviewers of this.

Aside from not including the moveable net, if you're going to resubmit it, I suggest taking your supporting photo from around where the pin is on the below picture, facing towards 169th. Make sure you can see the net on the right hand side of your photo, and the path leading out to 169th (a landscape photo would be better for this). This should also show that the property boundaries for the nearby houses exist and that will help you prove it isn't on private property.

that’s super helpful. I will definitely resubmit it as there are so many kiddos playing pogo in our community. I will see if there are other suggestions

Don't add any mention of Pokémon or pokestops, many people hate that even in the additional information.

    Hello @Kevinweskimo-PGO

I agree with @HankWolfman-PGO advice about the supporting photo there is no decent view from streetview. So use the supplementary to talk the reviewers through it, and as @WheelTrekker-ING says don’t mention pokestops etc.

I would also take out the references to picnic tables etc. in the description. if your submission is about the basketball hoop focus on that rather than starting to spread things out. You are starting to make it sound like a park without calling it a park.

Building on what the other folk said; you’re trying too hard also. You only need to nominate the hoop, because if you are nominating a “court” I would reject based on the photo not being of a basketball court.

what I meant by trying too hard is the reviewers - myself included admittedly; get immediate beggy vibes when there is so much selling going on. I found out it’s quite simple in the sense that if your nomination is acceptance criteria ; and no reject criteria; it will

be approved unless stupid people reject it. So all

that being said; you should nominate it just as the hoop; with a more head on photo (think high quality for the photo disc etc, ) and for the description just say as little as possible, it’s a basketball hoop. It doesn’t need much explaining. Just include that anyone can hoop there and the street name or something; then take the supporting photo from the angle that other dude told you to; and for the text on supporting info you only need to say that it’s a public hoop with safe access. Anyone with a brain would accept it.

you can also take a photo sphere of it and upload to google so people can street view it

Also dude. You can nominate the picnic tables and other aspects of your community park as their own stops. You might wanna go back and look at the FAQ. It’s irrelevant that nominations are right next to one another (aside from potential cell blocking) you can nominate more specifically in dense areas than you’d think.

a park near me has 10 stops with them

being the picnic tables, the basketball court, the tic tac toe thing inside the playground, the playground itself , the bbq area, the other basketball court; lmao it’s actually seems like a glitch but it’s not as though someone got lucky having them accepted; they just nominated every single part of the park that is its own thing; so don’t bundle the whole area oF yours as one stop when you could get many

Quick question. and Note I am not from here!

The nomination is for 169th South West, Bothell... WA, US. Right

But the description says North Creek Landing. Which is 183rd street South East - so says Google.

I dunno. I don't live here. But there are people like me go. Well lets use Google. And google North Creek Landing. Comes up with an address different to where the nomination is.

I am not saying you wrong.. Just saying you have to battle what people do when and if they research. Hope that helps.

    Good luck @Kevinweskimo-PGO -

PS love that name. Bit far south (FYI I cannot talk I have the name of a North American Hummingbird and I live in the land down under).

That’s very good point. NorthCreek landing is actually at 169th Ave. thanks for pointing it out

yeah, I'd agree.... it really looks like a driveway... and you have to look quite closely to see that it's beyond the house's property lines.

So the playground is at a culdesac. Yours looks like it's in a the backyard of a house. (but it's not) it also looks as if it isn't permeant; but it is. I agree with including that movable hoop it looks like this isn't permeant. And in your sumission photo you focused on the top of the hoop, so you can't clearly see that it's cemented in.

I think it could be accepted with a few little changes.

    Hello everyone,

I try to nominate the stop again based on your previous feedback. I still got rejected. Please help. The tile is a Bastia lol hoop

Unfortunately, I think this one is tapped out. It looks too much like a hoop in someone's back yard. And even after reading this whole thread, I'm still not convinced that it isn't.

I am determined to get it approved. Any suggestions are greatly appreciate it.
