Some Markets or supermarkets are not accepted
In Türkiye, we call small supermarkets Market. In English, supermarkets are central and crowded places for us; For example, places like A101, Bim, Migros, Seç,Hakmar Özpaş etc. These are generally permanent places, only the name changes and remains constant. There should be pokeshop points in supermarkets and markets. Some Markets or supermarkets are not accepted. images are loading. Please elaborate these criteria when reviewing, thank you.

In the UK or the Netherlands, general supermarkets aren't eligible. They aren't places that promote socialization, exercise or exploration.
So I'm not surprised they are being rejected.
That was its old name, there are many places like this in the game.
These are places that need to be discovered.
5 stars in terms of culture
Since you're making the comparison with the english Supermarket.. It's just a place where you do your groceries. What I've read, A101 is a large retail chain company, with multiple locations. I don't know what you''ve written in Turkish, but I don't see how it fullfills the eligible criteria like:
great place to explore, exercise or socialize.
How does this place fullfills this criteria, and isn't just a general location of a bigger chain?
If you didn't hear, years ago Niantic imported many Wayspots from Foursquare in Turkiye. However many of them are businesses, and many of them also don't have any photo. The one you show here is one of Foursquare-imported Wayspots.
That's why British supermarkets should be abolished because that's where shopping is done. What else can you do at the supermarket?
Why is it accepted in British supermarkets? Our supermarkets are not accepted.
I can add these as shopping malls
Our supermarkets are kind of like shopping malls.
There are many stores side by side.

Local Businesses
In general, places such as water cafe, tea etc. that have been operating for a long time. , local favorites, and even local businesses that are more regionally considered a cultural hotspot (e.g. supermarkets and Convenience Stores) fall into Explore's eligibility criteria and can be submitted for evaluation or review. For applicants, this is a subjective decision that the judges must make; so make use of supporting text and images. For reviewers, remember that even a generic business in a small town can be an important part of the local community. (e.g. Grocery Stores, Buffets, Markets, Bazaars, etc.)
They need to be “Great places to explore” not just places where lots of people shop. Everyone needs to do their grocery shopping every week, but that’s just routine.
Unique shops that “not to be missed” in an area might be judged eligible, but general markets/shops, particularly chains stores, are typically ineligible.
I have a few questions, would signs and field signs be appropriate? For example, there are signs to be added in the game (x city site signs) (bim signs) and something came to my mind, burking (fastford) pictures were removed, but I was wondering, isn't this place suitable for conversation? Now?
@pokemus61-PGO Can you post examples?
Are they a GREAT place to explore, a GREAT place to social, or a GREAT place to exercise?
Brands such as Burger King etc. are a good place to chat, for example.
All fast food, Ford etc. derivative places are such places, for example, raw köfte, lahmacun köfte, etc.
@pokemus61-PGO Big chains are generally not considered eligible although there are occasional exceptions to that. I would not generally consider a supermarket an eligible wayspot unless there was something special about that specific one.
In general, these are not eligible. Niantic clarified it later:
"Some strıp malls contain outdoor plazas or local businesses that might just not be visually unique or interesting enough on their own. However, as a collection they are an interesting place to visit or socialize with others. A single fast-food restaurant for instance, may rarely be eligible but if there's a stripmall that features one or more establishments that draws crowds, the plaza sign should be an adequate nomination."

Burger King is part of a large chain restaurant, a fast food restaurant and not interesting enough on its own.
The irony of that photo is that I see almost no one socializing, but they are all standing or sitting in their own little bubble, not facing anyone else. All that photo shows that just because a location is a restaurant doesn't automatically mean it is a great place to socialize. It also goes to show that just because someplace attracts a large crowd, like a store, doesn't mean that crowd is there to socialize.
That's why the Pokemon Go game needs to be smartly restructured. If this game doesn't treat places like Fastford as places to talk, I think that's the game's problem and could be the end of the game. In addition, site signs are suitable places to explore.
Fast ford and supermarket other shop need to change relevant rules, thanks.
Supermarket small shops etc. While there are places to explore, places like Fastford are places to chat.
Then places like cafes should not be counted.
This needs to be updated, thanks
Then there will be no room for a smart pokeshop gym.
We still argue that these should be accepted. Can you please help me on how to contact Pokemon Go
It doesn't help talking to Pokemon Go developers about this one. They're using the wayfarer database. If it isn't in Wayfarer, it won't be in Pokemon Go. If a waypoint is removed, the connected Pokestop will be removed as well.
Pokestops / Gyms are a subset of the waypoints in the Wayfarer database.
So you're at the right place to discuss, a number of Niantic employees are here as well so if they want, they can react.
Then the game should be made from scratch, only pokeshops should be placed in parks and gyms, and its name should be Pokemon Go 2.
above; according to the rules;
historical sites, motifs and wall decorations should be excluded. Because it disappears when it is painted and demolished. Therefore, these should be considered temporary. in our opinion
So your end goal is to change the criteria so that you can have more "Pokestops". Sorry but I don't see that happening. You would have better luck getting those places to sponsor a Pokestop instead. But if they do not envision themselves as great places to socialize, why should we?
The Pokémon Company International decided that this is how they wanted their game to be, and used the Wayfarer database for it.
You can become a developer for Lightship, and make your own game where you catch monsters (but not Pokémon which are copyrighted) and have it so that your Points of Interest only appear in those areas which will use the Lightship database.
As it is, I think your requests are unreasonable.
Anyway, thank you again for your reply. I hope they will think about it again in the future and we can play a more fun game with more pokeshop, then we will continue to add parks and glass gazebos to the gyms.
Iirc his problem is why his generic business nominations got rejected meanwhile there are already Foursquare-imported generic business Wayspots in the game.
last few questions; 1-) Those without pictures So why don't they remove them from the game? Do these places expect editing? 2-)Are site signs accepted? 3-)Are shopping mall signs accepted?
Hi @pokemus61-PGO! Those blank-photo Wayspots are, in many cases, part of an import from another location database that I believe caused more problems than it solved: they were not placed there by the community, but by a large import by Niantic. I believe we were asked to add photos/report invalid locations, but without any real incentives that hasn't happened consistently.
Are site signs accepted? Well, they can be, based on what makes that sign a valid wayspot. Does it represent a site that would have passed the explore, exercise, social criteria but needs a sign to serve as a location anchor? Is the sign itself particularly noteworthy on its own, like super-artistic or customized in a unique way?
Shopping Mall signs can be eligible if the submitter makes a good case for the shopping mall being a GREAT place to explore, exercise, or be social. Shopping mall signs are rarely unusual or artistic enough to qualify as a wayspot on their own merits, and are usually accepted as location anchors for a shopping mall that's been well "sold" in its description and supporting info. It's not a case of "all shopping mall signs are eligible" - what does that sign represent, and is it more of a great place to explore or exercise or be social than a purely transactional place to exchange goods for money quickly?
As a pogo player, I want quality nominations not quantity. Unless the Supermarkets / Fast Food Chains sponsor stops in the UK, I prefer to keep them out.
There are a TON of utterly generic business wayspots in Turkiye, ones that got imported from Foursquare. I get photo reviews for them quite frequently.
Yep, and although Wayfarers were asked to add photos/report invalid wayspots/edit locations for all those Foursquare imports, most of those that were added in approximately the right locations do not meet any removal criteria because "never having been eligible at any time" is not a removal reason. So they sit, get photos added occasionally, and serve as a model for newer Wayfarer users who will definitely submit many similar things. I do find it fascinating how angry the Foursquare import can still make me feel after all this time, though.
IIRC, the Google Form that Niantic had for bad Foursquare imports did have an "generic/uninteresting location" option. But I seriously doubt that form is still active.
And as I said at the time, 99.9% of players would absolutely not WANT to report those wayspots. Why would most players want to lose those free pokestops/portals? Niantic relying on user reports for those bad wayspots was just completely unrealistic.
The Foursquare import fiasco still continues to be a mess even after all this time. It still makes me angry too.
Then UK places should not be accepted. Good thing it doesn't come to me, I wouldn't accept it if it did. Either all of them will be accepted or none of them will be accepted. I exclude shopping mall type stores.
What the game is supposed to do is simple; In fact, it should be placed in all parks, religious places, gyms, pokestops and gyms. His sculptures must be started from scratch. Faulty areas need to be eliminated. 3 pokeshops should be placed in places such as the site (apartment). In fact, a gym should be placed in places such as housing estates.
