Confused about rejected wayspot
So I recently put in a suggestion for a local peice of artwork within a local park where loads of people go to walk dogs play in the park and have drinks at the cafe, lots of pokemon go players within out community have met there to do raids as well. This means it passes all criteria. 1) something unusual and unique artwork 2) somewhere with safe entry and accessible to everyone, with plenty of space to exercise within a park! 3) somewhere for the community to meet up and be social.
I can't understand if it comes under all this criteria why its been rejected for having no cultural or historical significance can someone explain this to me please? Just so i understand what i can and cant nominate in future.
I have attached a photo od the way spot I was nominating the dark crystal mural which as I said is located within our local park which is free to enter.

Typically that means that it was marked as a duplicate by some players. I just checked the intel map and Locke Park Fairy Garden already exists as a wayspot.
A minor suggestion for asking questions like this in the future-- please include information about the location to make it easier for people to investigate. I was able to find it quickly enough but knowing that this was in Locke Park in Barnsley would have saved me a little bit of work.
This mural already exists in the database as two wayspots:
That's likely why some people marked it as a duplicate, as it does appear to be one continuous work of art on one wall, and as @Hosette-ING explained, if some reviewers mark it as a duplicate, the system will sometimes churn out the not historically or culturally significant rejection reason instead. Normally it's because not enough people have selected the duplicate reason to get it rejected as an outright duplicate, but in this case I suspect the duplicate votes were divided between the two potential duplicates and that confused the system.
For what it's worth, it likely wouldn't be able to show up in Pokémon Go anyway due to being in the same level 17 S2 cell as another Pokéstop or Gym.
I was there today and these aren't pokestops the only stops there is the fairy garden one, this is why I was so confused with the rejection. If they had put duplicate stop I would have understood but they put no cultural or historical significance. Very confusing thanks for explaining
Yes the fairy garden got the pokestop this week or last week i think, the thing is the stop is nowhere near the actual fair garden (not sure if inproper placement can be notified anywhere) which is why I though I had a chance with the mural. If they put duplicate or something in the rejection I wouldn't have been as confused but to put no cultural or historical significance really confused me.
Thanks for the tips I am really new to this the dark crystal mural was the first pokestop I ever tried nominating.
