Pokestop got rejected due to invalid reason - appeal not possible
Hi. I nominated a pokestop called "Biltema Cafe", address is Havnegata 20A, 7503 Stjørdal, Norway.
Rejection criteria says:
Mismatched Location
Other Rejection Criteria
Which is simply not true. How can I appeal? There is no button to do it on the contribution page.

The lack of appeal button means you've used an appeal recently. When you use an appeal, there's a 30 day cool down before you can use another one.
Hello and welcome @ErlingFilipLT-PGO
You get one appeal every 31 days, so you have already appealed one you need to wait until it’s time for the next one.
Cafes can be difficult to get accepted if you would like to share your nomination we can comment if we think it stands a good chance.
the mismatched location is not likely to be the main rejection reason
"Other Rejection Criterion" means that reviewers didn't think it met any of the acceptance criteria. Not every cafe should automatically be accepted... you need to explain to reviewers why this cafe is somehow special. Is it a community hot spot? Is it famous for something?
"Mismatched Location" probably means that reviewers weren't able to confirm the location. Have you looked at what is available to reviewers on street view? I just checked it and I don't see the business as being visible from there. You can work around on this by taking a solid supporting photo that gives the reviewers enough visual context that they can be comfortable confirming the location, though since I'm not familiar with the location I can't be more specific.
They look like very average cafes @ErlingFilipLT-PGO unless I've missed something?
I think other rejection criteria is the main reason for the rejection.
Thanks, wasn't aware of the 30 day cooldown.
I think I struggled to get the correct explanation about why the stop is significant enough. "Biltema" is a Nordic chain of utility tools and is not special in it self. But the local café is special for the local community - tons of people gather there every day for sundaes, burgers or just plain coffee. It's become a social gathering point for all types of people, aspecially workingclass. So I do feel the place is a perfect pokestop even if it is a chain.
I've tried to express above.
Yeah, it doesn't show on Google maps even though it's been around since 2018. Maybe I should've linked to this? https://www.biltema.no/nytt-og-nyttig/nyheter/apningsfest-i-stjordal/
I have a follow up question - is it possible to change picture (the one for reviewers) when appealing?
Just saying that lots of people eat here typically isn't enough to make it qualify as a wayspot. Every business has customers or it would go out of business.
You need to explain how it is *special* to the community. What does this place have that other cafes don't have?
I have a follow up question - is it possible to change picture (the one for reviewers) when appealing?
Unfortunately, no - appeal reviewers are basing their judgements on what you originally supplied to community reviewers, with the additional text field being the only added info. If the photos need improvement, you'd need to resubmit and go through another community review cycle.

OK, you've made me realize that I haven't been able to portray why it is special.
Maybe it's not valid at all. But you know how some dining places are too fancy, or attract only a certain type of people. What's unique about this place is that both ditch-workers and families with small children like to go there. It is informal and has become a meeting place for many groups of people that don't ordinarily go to coffee shops and such. I don't know, am I way off track or can it be a pokestop?
Can you write it in English. I kind off get what you said through Google translate, but just to be sure nothing gets lost in translation 😊
Is there a website or local Facebook group where there may be comments or pictures that convey its popularity and place in the community? Is there anything at the venue that would convey this?
it sounds a good place, you just need to look at it through the eyes of a stranger and what would convey to them what you have absorbed over the years. So tricky but not hopeless.
What Eli said. I love nominating coffee shops. I look for something unique about them. Maybe the food is from a particular cuisine: French, Ukrainian, etc. Or maybe the coffee has won a lot of awards because they roast it themselves. Or maybe it's a gathering spot for motorcycle enthusiasts (yes, I have a local coffee shop for gear heads). Maybe they host game nights. Maybe they have a corner where they sell art for local artists (proving a true link to the community). Maybe they do fund raisers for the local high school. Any details like that would go a long way to proving that they are essential to the fabric of the community instead of just a copy of Starbucks.
Thanks for great input from both of you 👍👍
