Someone in my area is using false titles to get way points approved.

I have been reviewing this apartment complex called "The Retreat". The nominations on the other hand are being submitted as "The Retreat Community Park". People are just approving the nominations without even following the guidelines. The Complex map showing the various apartments and a bus stop have been approved.

The Retreat Community Park Bus Stop:

The Retreat Community Park Map:

I don't know what to do with this report the user for false nomination pretense because they have also nominated the complex office and the main sign using the "Community Park" wording?

Objects in apartment complexes can be tuned into PoI, both of those objects are fairly generic but can be acceptable. I think in general they would have a 50/50 shot at getting accepted.

The bus stop is at least interesting and does not look like a normal bus stop. I probably wouldn't have approved the map, especially since it's placed in the middle of the parking spots. The bus stop at least needs a move I would think the structure to the south is it, unless this is new build.

The Volleyball court and those picnic Shelters near the pool would be great candidates.

I agree that the volleyball court and picnic areas should be submitted but so far they seemed to go for things that shouldn't be submitted. Bus stops aren't supposed to be submited if it isn't significant such as having a mural or unique. This one looks like a generic structure. Also wouldn't calling the place a Community Park be lying?

Well... It's quite clear on google maps how it looks like. It looks like a gated community... You can also call it 'great marketing'. It is a bus stop, and he calls it a bus stop.

Nonetheless; if an item isn't eligible like a busstop, it should be rejected.

It's not unusual for developers to label these new developments 'Community Parks' or 'Country Parks' in their marketing. Neither are great nominations, but I've seen worse passed.

We understand that advertisers, marketers, and politicians often lie like cheap rugs, but that doesn't mean we must allow their distortions to take root in Wayfarer.

I saw in my review queue a place called 'The Pavilion' that had a large, covered area at the front door. Somebody nominated this as 'a pavilion', and I rejected it. The pavement in front of a business' doorway didn't seem like a great place to do anything except wait to be let in, and many businesses have something similar. It's not really a place to gather or sit and watch the world go by.

I think we should probably report this type of misrepresentation, if it affects Wayfarer.

The individual amenities should, of course, be judged on their own merits. If the basis for a nomination is a lie - as in the pavilion example above - it should be rejected and reported.

It nomination is at the correct spot. It's visible on google maps. The photo resemblance the real life nomination. And the description (although wit a marketing sauce) tells the what the nomination is about. If a reviewer thinks the nominator stretches it too much, one can grade the title and description with a lower amount of stars.

But personally, I think it's too farfetched to report a nominator for this, and let him possibly get a warning for violating the policies.

These are not fake nominations. They are real items that probably should not have been accepted. Unfortunately, your best bet is to wait for the map to be taken down. That's a fairly standard map that should go away once all the lots have been built and sold (at least in my experience). Then you can report it as no longer being there. Otherwise, try to educate your locals that these things don't meet criteria and move on.
