Forum bug: comment disappears after editing

This is an issue with the community forums, not Wayfarer itself. In this thread: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/48503/onboarding-and-review-flow-bugs
I posted a comment, then a few minutes later went to edit it (pressed gear icon then Edit). I made the change and clicked the red "Save comment" button.
But my comment then disappeared. All I was left with was a blank textarea. I reloaded the page to check and my comment was not there. (I've since added a new comment)
Browser: Google Chrome Version 118.0.5993.117 on MacOS (desktop)

That's not a bug. Sometimes when you make edits to your posts, they get sent for moderator review. There is a bar at the bottom of the screen when this happens that says your comment will be visible after it has been approved, but it is a fairly small and easy to miss message.
Your posts may also get sent for moderator review if you include in line photos in them. However, if you use the paperclip icon to attach photos, this doesn't happen.

I looked around at the time I edited and didn’t see any message but maybe I missed it. It’s pretty bad UX to just make a post disappear, every similar system I’ve seen leaves the post in-place but with a clear message on the post itself.
OK just had this happen again - this time a new comment (not an edit), but with an image upload. Pressed 'post comment' and it just disappeared. Definitely no error or informational message anywhere.
Again, it shows in a very small bar at the bottom of the screen saying your comment will be displayed after it's been reviewed. As I say, using the paperclip icon bypasses that, though your comment may still trigger moderator review for another reason anyway (I've had it when I've quoted another post previously, as an example).

Again, no it doesn’t. There was no text or bar anywhere no matter how small.
Took me a while to get a comment sent for moderation, but it happened today and I was able to screenshot the message for you. The red box is my own highlighting so you can more easily see it, it doesn't actually have a red outline when it pops up. As I said, it's small and rather inconspicuous when it happens.
Does that only appear for a couple seconds or something? I swear I searched up and down the page looking for any text anywhere and didn’t see it.
Maybe for like 5 seconds or so? I didn't take that screenshot as soon as I saw it, but I did only just get it taken in time as it disappeared right after. It is always there when it happens, it's just very unassuming.
