It has officially been moved to another location, information about reasoning and clock history is available in the following article but long story short maintenance was expensive and the new location is safer.

    Could you provide the new coordinates of the clock? It still exists, it's just been moved as you say. Niantic can move the wayspot if you provide the new coordinates of it.

    Good point, I'll try to get the new coordinates as soon as possible, access to the castle has been limited due to them setting up for the Christmas event. I'll probably need to go in person as a new picture will likely be required
