Where are the details of edit rejections?

foldoc-INGfoldoc-ING Posts: 3 ✭✭

In my edit rejection email, it says

"check out the full details in your Contribution Management page."

but clicking the link just takes you to the Wayfarer home page.

The "Contributions" page only shows new spot submissions.

Where can I view the details for an EDIT submission (e.g. to see why it was rejected)?

    You can't.

There are/were plans to display edits on the contributions tab, which is why the emails were updated to state that, but it's been well over a year since the emails were updated and we don't have any clue as to when/if edits will actually show on the contributions tab.

That being said, even if they did show on the tab, there are no rejection reasons for them - it's not like a regular review where you can select a rejection reason if something doesn't meet criteria. All that happens is that reviewers get shown the original title/description/location (depending on which of those was edited) plus all the submitted edits (which will sometimes just be your one, but may also include edits from other people if they've spotted the same error as you and tried to fix it as well). There's also a "none of the above" option for if the reviewer is unable to determine the correct option.

You can appeal rejected edits on the forum though. If it was a title or description edit, go here:

If it was a location edit, go here:

Either way, when you create a new post in whichever section you require, you'll see a post template on the screen, which shows you the best way to format your post so that Niantic can handle it.
