Accidentally submitted a duplicate after appealing

Hi folks!
I made a mistake a few days ago by submitting an improved duplicate of my earlier nomination that had been declined. The new nomination has already been approved, but I totally forgot I appealed the older one, and it is still hanging in "appealed" status. Is there a way for me to cancel that old appeal to save reviewers' time? If not, how terrible my mistake is? Will I be banned or suspended for this dupe?

You cannot cancel an appeal, but nothing bad will come out of it. You'll just give the Niantic reviewer an easy decision :)
