What can I do to make my nomination better? I thought plaques were accepted. And while it is in a hospital, I thought the evidence I provided that it doesn't get in the way of any critical services was sufficient and explanatory enough.

It doesn't really seem like a good place to socialise, exercise or explore, but even if it did meet one of those criteria, that is a very bad photo of the plaque. I don't expect professional photography, but the plaque is a nice rectangular shape and a photo is also a rectangular shape. The plaque should be able to fit nicely within the boundaries of the photo. Instead, your photo is off-centre and partly out of frame.
In addition to what @HankWolfman-PGO said, depending on the exact function of the space, it could also be seen as falling under the prohibition on wayspots located at daycare facilities.
In an inpatient hospital setting, unless you are in a cafeteria, open atrium or lobby, you can always run the risk of obstructing emergency services.
Thanks for that. I can definitely go back and take a better photo, I took the first photo a bit poorly because I was trying to be discreet.
As for the function of the space it's about I tried to find information about it online but it isn't listed anywhere in the hospital's services on the website. Nothing also came up about it on google when I tried to look up information about it.
