Rejected now accepted

Just saying. My rejected nomination was accepted yesterday. Thank you reviewers. Didn’t take too long either 😊 Feel a bit smug actually 😂

What the heck are you talking about? Did you appeal it; is that what you are trying to say?
There have been issues with the appeals reviewers not doing the best work as of late, There's been a large lack of knowledge and/or research being down, so many appeals are getting rejected for ridiculous reasons, like a cairn with a trail marker being rejected by appeals for being a natural feature, mainly a mountain.
Yes, agree it's a bit smug to not get any kind of a apology or explanation for the reversal.
Thanks, I am glad I know what this posts was about now.
Perhaps I need to clarify as the first responsive words to my post have been so very welcoming.
I made a nomination.
It was rejected and yes I appealed.
After having read about issues and a backlog of appeal reviews I felt happy when unexpectedly soon, the nomination was accepted.
I wanted to say thanks. Also that I felt smug meaning that I felt justified in nominating that spot. That I had been right.
But mainly thanks that reviewers are getting through stuff. So I posted. To say thanks. That was the heck I was talking about.
It’s really crazy how many excellent nominations, not just appropriate, I mean truly exceptional ones I have to appeal.
Yet any cabinet on a stick outside someone’s house, or a halfway well painted piece of vandalism is immediately approved.
I know I’m not the only one that’s had that problem, and I truly feel as though the new system has alleviated this issue to a noticeable degree.
And, yes the people handling appeals recently seem to not really be spending adequate thought on them. The vast majority of the POIs I have had approved over the year+ I have been doing nominations is through the appeal process. I recently had my first ever appeal rejected. Sorry second, the first was a duplicate because the appeal took so long to happen (think it was about 6+months iirc) someone else nominated the same thing and had it approved lol.
Sorry you had to burn an appeal, but congrats on getting it approved in the current climate.
TLDR: I guess I needed to vent a little.
You can breathe now. Well vented. I feel your pain. I’ve just had to leave reviews for a few mins while something particularly unworthy goes away.
