Waiting a year is not uncommon.
It depends on your location, amount of submissions/reviewers in your area.
If you had a quick rejection (within 24 hours), it probably was an automated system (AI) rejecting it.
For the old system yes, do we know if the turnaround time is better or worse for the new system?
I am curious to see results but don’t have the data on it. My worry is there has been a drop off of some reviewers because of the new system dropping and reviews and votes not being counted.
The new review system has been causing reviewers to get cooldowns more often, a known issue, and is causing nominations to take longer to resolve.
There's also folks who have taken a break from Wayfarer from lack of communication on reviewing clarifications.
Before the system updated some could wait 2 years for a decision. The new system is still being unpackaged out of the box and we don’t know what all the fancy switches and buttons do yet, so whilst it’s being figured out we don’t know how long it’ll take on this new system for similar ones.
I normally get a result on my nominations within a day or so. I live in the South East UK. However when I visit other areas, the North West in particular I wait months and months, why?? And not just on nominations any edits in this area takes years although they are slowly returning as of recently. The longest ice had is two years and this was just a joke nomination but it was actually accepted anyway 😂
I agree that it depends on where you live, and how many reviewers are in that area. I have some title/description edits from this summer I haven't heard back on, as well as some photo submissions. I tend to get a large number of photo reviews since the update, but I don't think many people submit title/description/location edits in my area.
If you find your nomination was rejected quickly and the email used the word "our team", It means your nomination was auto-rejected by wayfarer AI according to the criteria for GOD KNOW.
