My nomination nominated just yesterday got rejected today without being "In Voting" (It was NOT upgraded). Also the rejection email was different from the usual ones. How is this possible?

That means the automated filter (AI) detected something about your nomination that it thought was low quality, and didn't allow it into the system. You're welcome to post screenshots of your nomination if you think it should've been eligible, and we can maybe try to help you out with it.
There's an AI that pre-screens submissions and rejects some things. Sometimes it's right about the rejection, but not always.

You are in luck as ironically one of the places with lots of really good potential poi hasn't been spoiled by the recent mass dump in India.

That seems like a really good candidate. I wonder if the AI was confused by the monochrome nature of it?
The one thing that human reviewers would have dinged that for is the main photo. I strongly suggest taking the photo of the stage straight-on rather than at a funny angle. There's a red-carpet photo in the Google Maps photo album... an angle like this would make for a much better photo, or maybe one at that angle taken from farther back. There are multiple options for creating a visually-excellent photo of it.

Something is definitely wrong with this system. We should not have to use appeals for automated rejections and it is not always possible to make new submissions once leaving an area.
this is the second report i have seen of a little free library being rejected by the ai in the last 24 hours. the other had a reflection of the nominator's hands in the glass, so we thought that might be it. but there is no reflection here. the ai needs to be dialed back.
Another one of my nominations, this time an upgraded one got rejected is this way! What's wrong with this AI? Rejecting valid nominations 🥲. Lost my upgrade too. Have to wait for to apply for appeal.
Odd, but maybe the AI is thinking LFLs are all on PRP, which isn't always true. You even note that it's at a park, which is a public place.
Yeah, the AI is still being wacky since the upgrade last month...Sad.
I wonder if it's analyzing the composition of photos and rejecting those that have too much ground and sky, or colors that are similar to those. The trouble with this is that each game crops photos differently - pogo is more square and Ingress crops several different ways including a very wide panoramic on the inventory screen - so you have to bring the camera back a bit or else risk the photos looking terrible in game.
