And you wonder why your rating is getting lower?
You claim that you have passed the second test with good grades, but Niantic doesn't tell anything about the grade of your answers to the test, either you pass or you fail.
Well, as all my nominations keep getting rejected, i am thinking, why am i soo generous, while others just hit the reject button for the things that i find valuable enough? But i'll try to give more 3*. And for the pictures, i do not reject them, only if they are really bad, but i write in the comments that the picture could be better. But hey, who reads those comments anyway?
There’s definitely a negative feedback loop at play in wayfarer. When people’s nominations get rejected, they tend to rate others more harshly. Let’s try to break free of that thinking. When rating, I tend to ask myself “would I have nominated that?”
Perhaps as this is not really about the community guidelines @Ladyfoil-PGO you could start a new discussion as the points you raise are important especially about use of the star rating.
Perhaps you could post one of yours that got rejected and we could give some feedback. You could also post one you considered 2 or 3 stars. In each case post the main pic, description and supporting pic and info.
It would be good to get you moving up the ratings.

I'm super new and was just reading through the comments you've all posted and it's everything I'm looking to learn about to make a better contribution as a wayfarer. I'm hoping if this conversation makes it's way to it's own discussion post that I can find it and I'm thinking that since we are all at different levels of understanding that there we would be able to iron out details that would help new, blossoming and seasoned reviewers to understand that even though we may seek different kinds of stops due to our varying passions and the surrounding we find ourselves in that we all have a better understanding of how to deliver consistent and concise quality contributions.
Very Good! I am so excited to be a part of Wayfarer Community.
Mailboxes typically aren’t eligible. It doesn’t matter if it’s been there all your life or not. That has no bearing on it’s eligibility
I find it hilarious that you are confused why your rating is so low (and sinking) yet you refuse to use the numbers that are available to you. 5 isn't some magic score that should be reserved for a Disney World nomination with a photo taken by Anne Geddes. It's for things that fully meet Niantic's core values of Explore, Exercise, or Be Social. That's it. You're being way too judgmental and it shows in your rating. Try loosening up and your rating will improve. The point is not to be a gatekeeper. The point is to give people places to play. That "generic" looking gazebo may not be special to you, but it is the best spot in that community!
Part of the original discussion concerned the different games and submissions. I only have pogo, so I can't check if a POI is approved and in other games. I recently nominated a mural and it was approved but didn't show in Pogo. The next, and any other pogo player who sees the mural will try to nominate it. I think this duplication clogs the system.
You can actually.
When nominating, you can see what’s nearby and if a POI is used for other games it’ll appear as an orange Wayfarer pin.
Well, I send you greetings from Mexico.
Greeting from Holland.
