You're posting in the wrong section of the forum, but what are the names and coordinates of your nominations? It would help if you could also show the pictures you used, but if you're going to attach those to your reply, you'll need to use the paperclip icon or your comment will get sent for review.
The likelihood is that they do exist in the Lightship database but don't meet the proximity requirements to appear in Pokémon Go. As you nominate wayspots for the database (as opposed to Pokéstops for Pokémon Go), your nominations get checked against everything in the database, regardless of whether it appears in any game or not.
