Handling Wayspots during disasters.
Should Wayspots in regions where entire areas have collapsed due to the impact of earthquakes or tsunamis, making safe access impossible over a wide area, be reported as invalid Wayspots?

I think it is best to take a "wait and see" approach here and determine what will continue to exist and what won't. There is no deadline where Wayfare is concerned and I don't think removing a Wayspot temporarily is helpful. If there is a safety concern in the affected areas, then Niantic should temporarily suspend the games in those areas.
In my opinion, I believe it would be preferable to completely remove Wayspots in the disaster-stricken area and then organize events targeted at the rebuilt region after recovery. The restoration of collapsed Wayspots may take anywhere from six months to a year, and overcoming such a lengthy period through temporary suspension seems impractical.
That is not the question you asked. You asked about removing Wayspots due to widespread player safety.
In order to report a wayspot you have to have pictures of the area. If you can’t access the area, you can’t take pictures for removal. What’s the big rush to have things removed? Maybe focus your energy on something productive in a time of disaster.
Chaotic! Japan has been Earthquake and Tsunami After New Year. I hope there's not been lost statue and sculpture in wayspot or will be removed wayspot.
In my view, it’s 100% not the thing to be focused on right now in disasters and tragedies like this.
Those playing Niantic games are told many times to look after their own safety and not enter dangerous areas. It would not be the fault of Niantic not removing a Wayspot during a disaster if something befell a person not taking care of their own safety during this.
The thing to do now is let people grieve over losses, and have time to rebuild.
Wayfarer and any games would be way down the priority list.

The focus at time like this should be on the human element and not some bytes of information in a database.
It seems inappropriate to focus on a game rather than people.
No need for some instant virtual destruction
The time will come when access is possible again and people can start to assess and rebuild. There may be surprises as to what survives and the local wayfinders are best placed to help decide what happens at that point.
it certainly shouldn’t be a priority right now.
I thought people there are focusing at evacuation and their safety first rathen than trivial problem like this.
Alright I need to rephrase my words. Most Japanese people currently only want news about the disaster and will get very angry at seeing entertainment news posted in social media. Hence it's best at Niantic to keep watching the situation there and not messing around with the Wayspots nor making such announcements.
I believe we should separate the mental state of citizens in the real world from Niantic's business. There is no valid reason to neglect non-existent Wayspots or Wayspots that have become dangerous. Additionally, I was informed by an ambassador previously that Ingress players can report remotely for the removal of Wayspots.
Furthermore, many local explorers have already begun the process of removal, and the idea of leaving invalid items is not common. Leaving invalid items would hinder the recovery process.
Local players are frustrated because removals are not allowed due to the influence of aerial imagery and street view. Community support is needed.

Seems like you're the one ignorant here. I just leave this quote from someone:
"There's the time and place for everything. But not now!"
Providing a legitimate reason to disregard the opinions of local residents.
Instead of catering to the imagined "local residents" in your fantasies, please consider the reality and provide constructive support. The actual local residents wish for the removal of Wayspots that have become lost or hazardous. The situation is evolving rapidly, and the time for merely observing temporarily has come to an end.
You again. The other day you made rude posts about Ukraine and LGBT just to get attention, right? And now you used the earthquake disaster. It is extremely distasteful.
@mokou1234-ING
I don’t think anymore needs to be said in this thread, so if you wish to repeat what you already have said you are free to do so. But personally I intend to just ignore the thread, as wise words and advice have already been said by fellow wayfinders and those are being ignored. Take the time to quietly reflect on those posts.
@NianticLC you forgot to close this one as well.
