Can you post the photos/title/description/supplemental information? We can try our best to figure it out. Also, did the rejection email say “our team has decided” or “the community has decided”?
Low-quality submissions are consistently rejected by Niantic's clean-up robot, "Emily".
It is recommended to provide a description of at least three lines.
@cherry2299-ING there is no recommend length for the description. It should be as long and as detailed as the wayspot warrants.
@Skpangpang616-PGO Have you ensured that your wayspot candidates meet one of Niantic's three acceptance criteria-- a great place to explore, a great place to be social, or a great place to exercise? Note that the word great matters... people can explore, socialize, or exercise just about anywhere but that doesn't mean everywhere is a great place for one of those things.
Have you ensured that your candidate doesn't run afoul of any of the rejection criteria, like being on K-12 school property, being on private residential property, or not having safe pedestrian access?
Have you ensured that your main photos are of high quality? Specifically, is the candidate in the center of the photo and the main focus of the image, reasonably well-lit and not blurry, not obviously taken from a car, etc?
If the rejection email you receive contains the phrase “Our team…” then this means that the AI automatically rejected the nomination.
You will never know why. That is because Niantic hasn’t programmed their system to include that information in the rejection email.
Reanalyze your submission to make sure it DOES qualify (not on private single home property, not on K-12 school property, no license plates or people in the photo, etc…)
If the spot does indeed qualify then the best you can do is resubmit the nomination with some alterations. (I wouldn’t recommend wasting an appeal on an AI rejection)
Change the description around a bit. Get a different photo from a different angle. Include more supplemental information. ETC…
I recently had a couple of pieces of artwork rejected by the system. One I realized was cropped too much, but the other was unmistakably a painting hung on a wall. In both cases I resubmitted the nominations with the picture that includes more of the surrounding area, leaving the descriptions virtually unchanged. For both pieces this meant including a bench in the photos. At least one has survived in the queue and is unlikely to be weeded out at this point. The other one is looking good too.
Is this frustrating? Yes.
Can we do anything about it? Not really aside from resubmitting or appealing.
Niantic is unlikely to make any changes now. The AI probably reduces their workload by quite a bit.
The best we can do is try to figure out how to work around the system they’ve set up.
Ofcourse, I checked so many sample from others wayspot before submitting my application.😮💨

What exactly are you nominating?
It's not easy to tell from your pictures.
The place sign in the first one?
What does the little plaque say on the second picture?
It may be that your submission isn't making it clear enough to reviewers what they are to review.
Feel free to post the title, main pic and support if you like.
@Skpangpang616-PGO
The OMA sign is for a housing complex, so it would be hard to even get approved by reviewers. Many wouldn't consider it a good place to socialize, exercise, and/or explore. Seems like the AI may now be rejecting these as reviewers continue to reject them.
The bench could be a hard sell as well if it's just a bench. We need more context about the bench, like if it is a memorial bench, has a dedication plaque, is in a park, etc.
You may want to review the Wayspot Criteria section online before submitting. You can find these guides here:
There is also a Criteria Clarifications forum, and we're always willing to answer questions about whether or not something is eligible or not.
You may also want to see if there is a local Wayfarer group in your area, especially on social media or other forums.
That's the point I don't understand. We saw so many photo of the wayspot is for housing complex currently, why others can but our area cannot? That means the photo is not a big deal, just the sentenses mentioned is more important?
Anyway thanks for your explaination...

I don't think either really meet the eligibility criteria based on the photos alone - it looks like an ordinary sign that's not particularly special so I can't see why it would be a great place to explore, and a very ordinary bench that are not generally considered great places to socialise - you'd need to make a very strong case in your supporting text to get either passed.
@Skpangpang616-PGO The criteria for what can be included in Niantic's games have changed many times over the last 10+ years. There are lots of things in the games right now that don't qualify under the current criteria. Sometimes that's because they were incorrectly approved, and sometimes it's because they were approved under an earlier set of criteria that allowed them.
Base your judgement for good wayspots on Niantic's current criteria, not things you see in the games currently.
