Why do my pogo nominations get accepted and only appear in “other” Niantic games?
Hi all, I have had a few Pokémon go nominations accepted. All of them- and I mean all… were approved but are NOT in Pokémon go. Niantic reps will not help me, I was told that 1 is close enough to where it cannot be a wayspot in Pokémon go but I find that interesting considering the amount of existing Pokémon stops that are practically touching. Part of me feels discriminated because all of the stops I’ve worked really hard to push for, I nor my community cannot enjoy in Pokémon go, however when you look in the map to add a new stop. There it is listed as “May be available on other Niantic games”.
its defeating and makes me not won’t to even try submitting new stops because even if they are approved, they are not approved for the game I’m playing.

Read the above post. I also suggest using a search engine to look for the Pokémon Go Hub in depth guide to S2 Cells in Pokémon Go. That should help give you an understanding of the proximity rule that Pokémon Go uses when determining which wayspots are able to be added to that game.
This is a pretty good primer for how to get pokestops added

Also, don’t go by what you see on the Pokemon Go app. There are a lot of stops that have been grandfathered in. That includes stops really close together and other stops that may not fit the current guidelines.
Look up this article on google (I can’t post the link). It will explain how stops are added to the game these days:
A Comprehensive Guide to S2 Cells and Pokémon GO
Also, you cant go by what you see in the Pokemon Go app. There are a lot of stops that have been grandfathered in. That includes a lot of stops very close together and other stops that wouldn’t fit the current guidelines.
Hello and Welcome @Mrherrera11-PGO
As the others have said Pokemongohub has a good general explanation. If you would like to provide one or two names of your approved wayspots and their co ordinates or exact address we will try to explain what has happened with yours.
A young lad! I was where you were just months ago. Take time to read the stuff these helpful folk provided.
a stop will
always appear in game unless it is inside occupied cell.
A Pokestop will not appear if it's within a geoblocked cell, though.
I have a trail marker (image above) that's near a cemetery that blocked all Pokemon Go content back in the game's heyday (people were being rampantly disrespectful). That's the blue hexagon on my image. The cemetery in the yellow rectangle did NOT block Pokemon Go content, and is under different ownership/management. My Trailhead Wayspot lies outside the fence of the unrestricted cemetery, yet apparently is within bounds of the sector across the street and so is unfairly blocked for Pokemon Go content despite being on public land and an official city trail.
Simple explanation is it's probably too close to other pokestops. The S2 cell explanation is a bit more in depth and accurate but the best way to ensure you get a pokestops instead of just a portal.
ill damned, TIL.
Thats roust dude; I’m sorry - and thank you for enlightening me 🙏🏼🥹 kudos
