You insulted my religious

You insulted my religious feelings. I decide to submit the case to the Polish prosecutor's office. I will not tolerate racist and xenophobic behavior towards my Religion and Faith. If you cannot respect my Religion, I will not tolerate an attack on my Religion. You have regulations, but you do not follow them and attack me and my religion.

I also noticed on the forum that you do not accept the church as a waypoint, I think it is an insult to the Catholic Church. You do not accept religious statues along the roads. I think you deserve punishment for insulting my Religion. I won't tolerate this.

I'm sorry, but I think there must be some mistake. Public places of worship are presented in the Wayfarer guidelines as excellent candidates for nomination.

I don't think there is anything that either overtly or covertly goes against this basic tenet.

I, too have felt frustrated when my nominations have been rejected, but I tried my best to discern how and why it happened.

Even worse was when my nomination was accepted but never appeared in my preferred game. Again, I educated myself - or more accurately - searched for information online to find out what was happening behind the scenes.

I am fairly certain that there is another explanation to your difficulties. If you wish, you can attach screen grabs using the paperclip to show what, where, and how your nominations have been rejected.

    Maybe we can help.

Were there any rejection reasons given?

Remember that it's not just enough to take a couple of pictures and type a few words and submit something... you need to present your submission well. Was your main photo high-quality? Were your title and description high-quality? Did the supporting photo and text give reviewers all of the information that they needed to understand your submission, confirm its location, and approve it?

"Religious statues along the roads" may or may not be good candidates. Do they have safe pedestrian access as defined by Niantic? Are they on or at the edge of private residential property, a single-family home?

If you truly were devout to your religious beliefs wouldn't you be more upset if a church was a Wayspot, because people could be on their phones and disrupting your deeply-held religious beliefs.

However, if you believe that rejecting a nomination (which we can only assume was garbage based on the post you've made) constitutes a targeted attack and "xenophobia" against a population that 97.7% of the religious people in the country adhere to (Poland being considered the 'most Catholic' country in the world) you may be entirely delusional. One sincerely hopes that the Polish prosecutor's office laughs at you.

I very much agree with you. I have had nominations rejected and wondered why. For example, a Little Free Library on private property, which I didn't know at the time was ineligible, or that a long pedestrian bridge can only have one Wayspot (actually have gotten the title changed for that bridge, so hope there's no more nominations for the south entrance).

I have also nominated several places at churches, such as statues, parish meeting centers, prayer gardens, etc, and I only had to appear one that the community rejected for not being permanent and distinct (it was approved by the appeals team). Three of them were at a large Catholic church, and I'm not a member of said church.

So many of the nominations that I review are religious/spiritual in nature, most being churches or places at churches, like some of what I mentioned earlier, as well as playgrounds, basketball courts, memorial benches/trees, etc. At no point have I ever reviewed these places on my personal views of said religion/spirituality, as they are to be reviewed as to whether they meet Niantic criteria to be a Wayspot.

Keep in mind that your nominations are reviewed by others in the area where you live, so I would imagine that a church in Poland would be reviewed mainly by others in Poland, but there could also be some others from bordering countries. For example, someone in the US may get reviews for locations in Mexico or Canada, especially if they live near those borders. A good deal of nominations from Mexico happen to be religious, including many churches.

When a nomination is rejected, there is typically a reason for it, although if the AI rejected it, that's not always the case. As others have said, we are more than happy to take a look at any rejected nomination to see how it can be improved. Also, using the search bar in the forums here is a great tool, especially if your question may have already been answered, so I highly recommend using it.

Again, we're here to help. We, as well as Niantic, do not want to discourage anyone from partaking in any of their services and games.

I hope they didn't turn notifications off, and are just taking time to breathe while reading our comments.

@RedHaifisch-PGO, we're here to help! We can certainly take a look at your nomination to see why it may have been rejected, and what could be improved upon. Like I said, I've nominated places at Catholic churches that are now Wayspots, and others have nominated many churches/places at churches that have been approved, too.

Feel free to post information about your nomination, and we'll be glad to look into it!

@DTrain2002-PGO I hope that too, but I recognize that sometimes people just want to vent rather than having a discussion. I prefer the latter but I can sort of understand the former.

Agree with you. I wish more people just took time to stop, take a breath, and think about what actually could be the issue, which is most likely minor, than think of the worst thing right off the bat.
