Trail marker on a sign

Ive subbmitted a few of these all have a named trail marker on them, doorstep walk and rotherham round walk, but would they be rejected because of the generic public footpath sign there on?
Answers
Personally I would rate them well, as the trail marker is clearly identified. I’m not sure how others would though.
Another example that is often rejected for trail markers, Bicycle route trail markers. (Although I disagree with the bicycle route trail rejections as these to me are just another example of a trail.)

Your link is causing issues on my web browser and cutting the image in half.
I am still waiting on a response on these. Bike route trail markers. These are commonly mistaken as typical street signs. Would it be similar to your intent?
My understanding is that only walking trails (or dual-use) fell under the guidelines, and that cycle routes weren't intrinsically eligible. Happy to be corrected by @NianticCasey-ING
I'm lenient with markers that have a route symbol rather than a written name, as for me the route symbol is a clear proxy for the name.
I like trail markers - they do genuinely encourage people to get out and explore the countryside
I'm not entirely sure if cycle routes are permittable under criteria but looking that sign you've posted, it doesn't appear to be a named cycle route/trail, so I could see something like that getting rejected.
In North England, we have a named cycle route known as the Way of the Roses*, because it goes from the Yorkshire coast to the Lancashire coast, but I've only ever seen two markers for that allowed which have been the Start/Finish points in Bridlington and Morecombe.
*Its name comes from the sigils of Yorkshire (White Rose) and Lancashire (Red Rose)
Its a standard Uk trail marker disc so while its not going to score great on visually uniqueness its still a solid candidate.
It shouldn't get rejected because of the sign its on, as the sign isn't what you are submitting but the trail marker its self.
The only issue you may have is that information for the walk is no longer supported by Rotherham Council on their website, so you may get picky reviewers rejecting it for that.
A generic bike route marker should be rejected as a generic nomination. A bike route marker specific to a name bike route may be eligible, but it is not as good of a candidate as a pedestrian trail marker with the name of the trail on it.
As far as the trail marking disc on the original post, it is not a strong candidate in my opinion, but not strictly ineligible.
So as long as it has a bike route name it's acceptable?
What about park signs that are similar?
if i shared a link to a web page with pdf so the revewers could see the route do you think this would improve likeliness it will get accepted?
I now of people that subbmitted directional signs to two parks/ recreational ground both got rejected
As long as the link is in the support statement and not then description then share away, its exactly the kind of thing I do when submitting trail markers always works for me
@Gabriel0322-PGO , @Dice976jr-ING generic direction signs to a park are not good candidates, you have misunderstood the guidelines again
I upgraded nomination to see if it would go through, FAIL this is what was decided
nomination has been rejected due to the following reason(s):
Nomination does not meet acceptance criteria, Photo is low quality (e.g., pitch black/blurry photos or photos taken from a car), The real-world location of the nomination appears to represent a generic store or restaurant.
No roads near by so definetley not from a car, and the photo didnt look dark or blurry to me, I think they ment generic sign not store or resteraunt
Yeah the generic business thin a lot f people tend to clock if they think it's just a generic thing I general. The poor photo quality one is a really annoying option, because people will use it if they can't instantly work out what the things at first glance, and I mean glance. That or they are just lazy
I do wish people would read the rejection reasons properly, it's clearly not a low quality photo or a generic business.
Also I think sometimes people can't be bothered to type in a reason for "doesn't meet criteria" so pick something else.
