Why Niantic Sucks

I find niantic are poor at handling anything about the issues within the game and fixing the issues with reviewing being so easy to interpret what is acceptable and not acceptable as a submission and allow players to interpret things however they want. Niantic say if a submission meets one of the criteria it is valid they don't say find a reason to reject a valid submission unless it is on school grounds that is under 16 or if it means you have to tresspass to gain access to submission or the submission isn't matching with title location etc. They don't say if a submission hits one criteria reject because you think it doesn't meet the criteria in your opinion so why does nearly every rejection reason I've read about say blocks emergency staff etc but the submission isn't in a place that would cause that to happen and the image is too dark or blurry yet you can see the writing on the gate and can see the writing spells out the same as the submission title and matches the discription and my fav of all of them, it is a generic store etc yet it is a photo showing you the location of the submission to help locate it on Google maps and prove it is accessible and in a safe location.

Hi there,
I'm sorry to see that you're frustrated. I've said it before in this forum but our goal with Wayfarer and the charge of the participants in Wayfarer is not to add as many Wayspots as possible to Niantic Apps. Rather to identify and suggest unique, interesting, artistic or otherwise notable local hotspots that, when players encounter them, they learn more about the world around them.
If there is a specific nomination in place that you would like advice on, please recreate your post. Otherwise, I'll be removing this as spam.
Or you could spend time providing meaningful updates to the guidelines that you know cause disagreements and actually encourage submitter and reviewer education, like you've suggested before.
Seems like the clickbait title worked to capture Niantic's attention lol
The issues that you're describing seem to be more at fault on the submitters and reviewers rather than Niantic.
Rejections happen, it's an unforunate natural part of Wayfarer, however they do give you an opportunity to improve on a nomination. Rejected for poor photo quality? Take a better photo. Rejected for generic business? Do your best to explain why something is notable and not generic, consider rewording things and emphasising its historic or cultural significance.
Getting rejections for false reasons? Then the reviewers are idiots and are likely just being lazy. Realistically, there's not much you can do there but try again. Niantic did say they are looking to penalise bad reviewers/submitters, but given the state of things over the last few months, we are probably all penalised already lol
Looking beyond the above issues, Niantic can take some blame. The guidelines are spread out across the Wayfarer website, forums and AMA's. Nobody is ever going to know every little ruling, especially the ones only made on the forum. So in that sense, yes, Niantic can do better to centralise all the resources and information, and yes Niantic can do better to communicate and listen to its players. But they aren't wholly to blame for poor nominations and poor reviewing, there are a lot of moving cogs in the system and any one part can fail and affect the rest.
However, one of the best things about Wayfarer is the forum. Post your nominations here and the community can give you real feedback, which is so much better and more informative than bland generic rejection reasons in an email.
That's just it - responding to one "clickbait" while posts with hundreds of likes in the Bugs section go uncommented. Go figure.
Niantic never said if it meets one criteria it's valid. However niantic does have a big list of reasons to reject... Prp, school, military, generic store, natural feature,....
For most part what you are complaining about is clearly due to not knowing the basic rules, niantic could however do better gathering the data previously on the ama's, answers given here, and the wayfarer page itself in one place. A quick search could give an answer to most of your questions.
I appreciate all the comments and not going to name calling like other sites used to discuss reviewing etc.
