There's no such sign on the satellite map. The location seems to be on some farm. And I can't even find the actual location of this Eastern Missouri Cowboy Church.
Well that's odd because it is most certainly there, and is by no means on a farm. The church has only been active 5 years now at the most. Has anyone ever heard of Google search and you can see that these things actually exist.
Here is the same address I put it at they have actually been there since 2006.
The main issue with this denial is it was denied because "it doesn't meet acceptance criteria". That is completely false, this was voted on by local voters who have a pretty good idea of what is in the area. A church meets the criteria. Now if I need to just resubmit, I will do that. Niantichelp makes it sound like a person can get help through this forum, but I have seen the lack there of.
This address doesn't seem complete - there's a number missing. Eastern Missouri Livestock Market listed in the address is several miles away from where the sign supposedly is. And if they are meeting in some warehouse, I don't think it counts as church.
So basically reviewers can't confirm anything.
No they are not meeting in a ware house. I know what you are talking about, it's the place they sell cattle, etc. It is up the road about one fourth a mile. That is not this place.
I have circle here on pogo.maps as well where the sign is and outline the building.
Also you say they can't confirm anything, but a friend of mine from a local town reviewed it and said every thing looked good to him. So I think someone didn't know what they were doing. Like I said is this gonna get me anywhere or is it best to just resubmit the wayspot???
That's yet another location. So where do you need a POI?
That's the church! I am needing the poi at the church, I thought people on here trying to help would be able to look at the actual submission and see where it was, I apologize for the confusion. I dont understand what you are saying that's another location? I have been talking about that location the entire time. Eastern Missouri Cowboy church. Its on us 61. I thought I had the correct long and lat numbers but maybe I didn't, I got them online from home.

That's not really anywhere near the co-ordinates you stated at the top: 39.2353622,-91.1092483
Streetview information at the correct location is dated March 2009, so it's definitely not going to be visible if you say it's only been there 5 years. Your supporting photo doesn't really show any helpful location information so this could be an ideal time to use a photosphere.
I honestly have no idea what you are talking about when you are talking about the photoshere. I think at this point for me it sounds like it will be easier for me to just resubmit and get the building in the background with the sign this time on the supporting photo. Thank you both for time.
A photosphere is basically a 360 view of a location. They're easy to create, just download the Google Street View app.
If you don't want to do that, then yeah, getting a recognisable landmark in the background of the main or supporting photo will definitely help. Have a look at the current Google street view for this location and see what still exists.
There's probably some confusion with coordinates.

Then you post another screenshot with supposedly correct location, but coordinates are cut off.
I can't find the church or the market on Google map. If that's how you provided the info when nominating POI, it's possible that reviewers weren't able to find it either.
Well that doesn't sound too bad I can handle that. I'll do that next time I'm in town. Now once I do the photosphere you think you could help me get it accepted without resubmitting as long as it meets requirements?
Yes, it should do. Being a church it should pass, provided your reviewers can verify it's where you say it is, which the photosphere will help with.

Well it's nice to see that you guys don't actually stand by your requirements. From now on I guess I'll know to deny every church, have fun with the appeals!
I admit that's it's a bit unclear, but this section for the forum is for appealing denial reports of invalid waypoints, i.e. those players have found and reported them.
Niantic's response is a canned one, and basically saying that they don't do appeals for new submissions here on the forum and that you'll have to resubmit them fresh from the game.
You cannot appeal new nominations on this forum. You can only ask the community about improving your nomination so that it gets accepted after you resubmit it thru game client.
Well if that was the case I didnt need any help the whole time I was here. Lmao I said so many times I would just resubmit my nomination if that was what needed to be done and no one ever said yes that's what you have to do. You just ignore half of people's questions and the say "appeal denied" and make people think that things actually can be done here but are not worthy nominations. I know churches can be submitted, but apparently someone out there doesn't because they denied mine!
Nobody is saying that churches are ineligible, but that doesn't mean that every single church that is submitted should be approved. There's a variety of factors that go into determining if a waypoint should be accepted, and in this case I believe it was lack of location evidence.
I apologise if I didn't communicate my previous meanings clear enough. Yes, you will need to resubmit. All submission failures need to be resubmitted - there is no appeal process for it.
What we can do though is try and work out why they failed and help improve your submission to avoid of a repeat of the rejection. The correct place on the forum for this should have been 'Nomination Improvement', but that's not to say that help and suggestions won't be offered if placed elsewhere.

It's not that someone out there thinks churches are not eligible. It's most likely that this church's location cannot be verified. Just wait for the photosphere to appear on Google Maps and submit your nomination again. In the comment section you can add "please check photosphere" so that reviewers are more likely to check it.
I don't know if the fact that the church meetings are in a livestock market will affect the nomination, but I wish you luck.
Well the church meetings are not in a livestock building. That building is just down the road. I'm also not sure if the photoshere even worked correctly because a friend of mine has tried to do one for a nomination of his and I explained to him my photos were not lining up and he said same thing happened to him when he tried to do a photoshere. So I'm gonna try the photoshere again and see if the photos will meet up, if not I'll just resubmit with a better supporting photo.
