3 valid Pokestops of a square were removed without explanation. They just gone.

Here are the 3 stops that I demand to be restored.
Title of the Wayspots:
1) Γλυπτό του Σταυρού
2) Μαρμάρινη βρύση Ι. Ν. Αγίου Ανδρέα
3) Γλυπτό η Άνοδος
Location: 38°00'21.75" B 23°43'56.96" E
City: Athens
Country: Greece
Screenshot of the Rejection Email: They didn't send me an email. They just removed them from the Pokemon GO map. In Ingress instead, there are still there normally.
Photos to support your Claim:
Additional information: As you can see at the Photos, in INGRESS Map I have red-circled the 3 Pokestops that were removed from POGO Map and, in POGO Map I have red-circled the places where the 3 Pokestops should be and suddenly, yesterday I realized that these 3 Pokestops disappeared. The place is just a beautiful square with safe Pedestrian access. And all of the Portals are real locations in the square and were accepted by the Community. I am still crying for this Niantic's terrible action because I have spent a lot of time to make this square a nice spot for the players. Now, all of us, feel that our effort was gone.
These 3 Portals have to return to their locations, as there are in Ingress.
Comments
Were those pokestops moved from their original location in order to place them in the same L17 cell as another existing pokestop?
Yes but it's a very long story. Firstly, I submitted an Edit Location of those 3 Pokestops during May 2020, before the Edit Lock. I did it because each one was almost above the other, I mean very little distance between them, so I would like to slightly increase the distance between them so that we can choose and spin them more easily.
During August 2020, I received email (not in the same day all) that all of the 3 Edit Locations were accepted. However, after many days patience, the Pokestops never moved to the new Edited Location in the Pogo Map while in Ingress were moved instantly to the new Edited location.
So I thought that it was a bug and should edit their location again. I did it. And yesterday, at night, all of them disappeared. I have spent days and months for this square. When I started playing PoGo it had only 1 Pokestop. Now, me and many of my friends here are frustrated and upset about this. And we need the Pokestops back to their location, as they are in Ingress map.
No chance. If you had kept your fingers still, everything would have stayed.

Keep my fingers how? We are a small community here and no one told us that if we move a Pokestop to another location in the same L17 cell while another Pokestop(s) exists in that cell, the Pokestop will be removed. Now we became "Smaller" than we were. They can't negate our effort in this way.
Niantic never officially announced anything about the cells. That is knowledge that you shouldn't even have. You are creatures of habit and mourn something afterwards that should never have existed. The cells do not exist for no reason.
1 wayspot per cell.
If you had submitted everything in the right place from the start, regardless of the cells, this cluster would not have come about and it would not have been necessary to relocate the wayspots. The normal state has been restored. This is now just the just punishment.
Nice story but I don't buy it.
Pokestops aren't added to the map if they are nominated within 20 meters of an existing wayspot or even in the same L17 cell than an existing one, so in order to have them "each one was almost above the other" would have required initial shenanigans in order to create that cluster.
If you skip that part then I don't trust the rest of the story.
As I said, when I started playing Pogo (July 2019) the Square had only 1 Pokestop. Obviously I didn't sumbit new nominations to the same L17 Cell because I knew that they won't appear. So I started to sumbit the rest Pokestops, 1 each time, to the closest Empty Cell, the one south of the discussed cell which contains a part of the square, then moved them to the main cell. So the square grew up and got a gym with 6 Pokestops.
I don't care if you buy my story or not. You can't do anything to restore them anyway, even if you wanted to. If I knew that moving Pokestops in the same cell will make them disappear, I wouldn't move them to their most accurate location.
Ah, so you abused the system at first and now Niantic has corrected that. Bad luck.
Oh tell me that there aren't places in your area that have more than 1 Pokestop in a cell. I guess all Lv14 Cells there, have only 3 Gyms. Well, let's not downgrade the level of this conversation. I request the 3 Pokestops be restored. Beyond that, let Niantic do what they think.
I don't think that I've ever deliberately nominated anything in the wrong location. Surely I've checked the S2 cells since the knowledge spread about them, but only to try to find which point of the PoI should I submit so they could fall in the proper cell (and even sometimes I forgot about that), but I never used a wrong place for any of my nominations on purpose.
Actually, all the pokestops that were destroyed happened on the same day (portal sync on October 9 at 18:00 UTC). In many of the reports, the pokestop had already been moved to the new location days or weeks before.
I don't think the request to move a stop in August triggers is the one that triggered the removal. So there's still a chance OP would have lost the stops unless the edit in May never happened. And to be fair, that first edit was before Niantic took down location edits.
Firstly, I submitted the Edit Location of those 3 Pokestops during May, before Edit Lock. In August, all of Edits were accepted, in Ingress map they moved normally to their new Location but in Pogo Map nothing changed. So I thought that it was a bug, an error and I took the decision to sumbit an Edit Location of them again. But things got worse...
Just be happy with that. 3 Pokestops and 1 Gym (I assume it's EX raid Gym?) are completely enough for a small park like that.
Niantic can negate efforts to abuse the system. You abused the system, your efforts were negated. I and others gave mutiple warnings that this will eventaully happen if location edit abuse continued back when Niantic started removing overpopulated gyms. It is not Niantic's fault that the Pokemon Go community ignored the warnings and continued on with their abuse.
Tbh, I can't understand Niantic's logic. They enable 1 portal per cell in Pogo while in Ingress we see multiple portals in a cell and they don't disappear as they do in Pogo. I mean, why so many restrictions on Pogo?
This square has many things that could be Portals and they did until we get the new rules. The square, the church, the stone spring, the ancient sculptures outside of the church, 1 sculpture, in the park of the square, dedicated to children with down's syndrome.
And of course, people buy (or better, were buying) lures for a reason. To put them in areas with many stops in a cell or 2 cells and take the maximum advantage of them with enough spawns. And lures = money. Now with the new rules, if each cell ends up having 1 portal, lures will become useless. Why I should buy a 100 coins lure while I can buy a 40 coins Incense which is by far more effective even if you play at home?
Ingress's spacing isn't based on S2 cells. It is just a flat 20 to 30m restriction when a portal is added to the network. And while there are some portals that do eventually find themselves within that distance, there was no systematically widespread abuse to artificially create dense clusters of portals. In fact, if there were too many portals too close to each other, it would cause problems micro-fielding them. So even if Niantic did remove portals that were within 20 to 30m of another it wouldn't affect the players since it was a rare occurrence.
You are still trying to justify why you should be allowed to benefit from mass abuse of the Wayfarer system. Admit that it was abuse, that Niantic dealt with it in a completely predicable method, and move on.
@Aegae0n-PGO others have explained this far better than I will. The location spacing in PoGo was partly a very quick effort to get the game released. They have since learned and it is probably why HPWU has a smaller cell requirement. Also, ingress vs pogo- there is A LOT less "going on " in Ingress. The game designers had to take into account the size of stops/gyms, spawns, etc and make sure the game was still easily playable. And also, make sure the game does not got bogged down by too much happening on screen.
Another important piece is that the Pokemon Company has a say is all of the game design, including cell sizes used. It's possible they are the ones who don't want smaller cells. Ingress is solely owned by Niantic so that concern isn't a factor.
I'd love, love pogo to be based on L18 cells instead. But that would require essentially a whole new game (ie: a lot of work, time, money). I don't foresee it happening any time soon. I'm actually shocked by how many people are surprised by this. I saw it coming (as did many) from miles away. I tried to warn people, but it mostly fell on deaf ears.
