I recently submitted a nomination for a memorial tree in my town. It was rejected and some of the reasons were it was temporary/seasonal (it's been there over 20 years) that it was a natural feature. There are already at least 5 active wayspots in my town that are memorial trees so I'm confused as to why it was declined. Memorials are supposed to be eligible. Any insight?

There was no context that the person was significant in any way., therefore it was correctly rejection. Memorals are only eligalbe if they are for significant or historical individual or event.
