Thank You

I was just accepted as a Wayfarer this week and have reviewed close to 500 waypoints so far. And I just want to take a moment to thank all of you! Thank you for rejecting the overwhelming amount of completely ridiculous Pokestop submissions! I’ve been playing Pokémon Go for around 3 years now and have run into my fair share of “Why the hell is this a Pokestop?” Pokestops. I had no idea of the absolute onslaught of terrible submissions you all have been dealing with! After this past week, I am certain that at least 90% of the people who send Pokestop submissions do not read any of the criteria rules. If you all weren’t there to reject them, I think the whole world would just be one big Pokestop at this point! Literally Pokestops on every inch of the entire planet. So thank you for rejecting player’s houses, the random neighborhood trees, the bedroom wall, the school classrooms, the mailboxes, the decorative landscaping rocks, the “there is no Pokestop around for miles so please approve this corn field”, and the millions and millions of Walmart submissions! Your work is greatly appreciated!

Not all heroes wear capes.
At least all of that trash is a good way to quickly get upgrades. :)
Just gonna point out, the wayfarer guidelines are a lot more in depth than the polestop nomination guidelines are yes there are so e who are clearly trying g their luck or trolling. But the pokestop nomination guidelines is more like "something g cool, historical, unique of popular" cant remember the exact wording but its near that, and they arne thrown unless you look for them, so its not that the majority of nominations are bad because they don't care, the nominations are mostly rejects because the guidelines don't line up with each other, with pogo actually encouraging some less acceptable stuff
Stick around, you'll see worse. One of my classics was "My Girlfriend's Rack". The submitter was not talking about the place where she stores her pots and pans. As I recall there were some, umm, crotch shots shortly after OPR launched but Niantic seems to have filtered those out because I haven't heard about one in ages.
