That invisible Wayspot is in a private residence. (Case at Shimoochiai,Shinjuku-Ward)

Hi, @NianticGiffard .

Yesterday I walked a lot in Tokyo for the "Second Sunday" event of ingress.

It was bright daylight and I walked a long way, so I was sweaty.

Well...

Of all the different Wayspots I visited, there was one strange Wayspot.

No matter how hard I looked around, the object did not exist.

I thought I was mistaken, so I looked in all directions at the crossroads, but the object was not in sight.

I were able to hack the portal from the road.

But the object was nowhere to be found!

When I got home today,

I decided to use IntelMap and Google Street View to investigate the Wayspot, which I couldn't see.

It turned out to be a surprise.

That is this Wayspot.

Title of the Wayspot:メダカ池の女神

City: 2 Chome-6-18 Shimoochiai,Shinjuku-Ward.Tokyo

Country:Japan

This title is Japanese for "Goddess of the pond with killifish".

Open Google Map from Intel Map

In the pin position, you can see the words "人形町 今中 高田馬場センター(Ningyocho Imanaka Takadanobaba Center)" in Japanese.

This pin is not the location of "人形町 今中 高田馬場センター(Ningyocho Imanaka Takadanobaba Center)".

In fact, the building on the east side of the road across from the pin is "人形町 今中 高田馬場センター(Ningyocho Imanaka Takadanobaba Center)".

So, what do you think this pin location is?

What do you think it is?

Let's take a look at Google Street View together.

Pin position, from another location, in Google Street View.

Surprisingly, the pin is currently located in a car park dedicated to Mr Terashima's private residence here.

There is no object anywhere.

There is no pond with killifish, no statue of the goddess.

It is just a car park of a private residence.

Let's take a look at Google Street View taken in 2014 of the location with the pin position.

It is clear that the "寺島ビル(Terashima Building)", which is different from the present private residence, existed and the pin position was set inside the building.

No wonder I couldn't see the Wayspot object,"Goddess of the pond with killifish", when I looked around in circles.

Google Maps now seems to register this private residence as the "寺島ビル(Terashima Building)".

This object does not currently exist.

To make matters worse, it is located on a private residential property.

It is my opinion that there has been Disguised acts and Abuse of this Wayspot over a long period of time, either through deception or other means.

Can you investigate the person who applied for this Wayspot?

I also think that this Wayspot is highly inappropriate and should be removed.

Please let me know what you think.

You can see from Google Street View that the pond never existed where this private residence stands.

We can all see that.

However, Wayspot's title says it is the "Goddess of the pond with killifish".

This means that maybe the "Goddess of the pond with killifish" existed in some distant place and moved to this place

It is possible that someone has deliberately moved to this location.

I know that about three years ago, someone deliberately moved the next Wayspot 580m north from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building.

Perhaps similar abuses have occurred at Wayspot, which is the subject of this report.
