Nomination has disappeared into the ether...

At the time of writing this post, I submitted a nomination through Pokémon Go about 3 ½ hours ago... I never received the usual "Thank You for Nominating a PokéStop for Review" email, nor is it showing up in my Nominations tab on Wayfarer. However it has eaten up my submission for today, as I only had one come available today and will not have another for 2 days. Where has my submission gone?
Might just be stuck on your phone, used to happen a lot with Ingress before Prime.
Usually submitting another nomination or edit/contribution can help knock it loose. On Ingress you could usually log out of your account and you'd get your nomination back after a warning stating it wouldn't be submitted.
Also make sure you're not in you're spouse's/kid's account for some reason and it's on their wayfarer nominations list.
I won't have another nomination available for 2 days so I wont be able to test that for a while. I'm also single and alone... So no risk of wrong account. Just logged out and in and nada.

Huh strange, could be stuck on your phone, the solution being just have pokemon go open on your phone for 10-15 min, or could be slow server's on Niantic's side, which would mean you wait a day for it to appear.
Unfortunatly when a nomination gets eaten up like that, Niantic just tells you to wait the two weeks to get a new one, which is frustrating. Even if you go the route of in-game support.
@TrevorAlan-PGO what was the name of the nomination? Perhaps @NianticGiffard can take a quick peek for you
I actually had this happen twice to me today! No nomination email for both of them and I submitted them 5 hours, don’t see them in my wayfare nominations either. And it used up my submissions. Anything else I can try?
I hadn't fully typed it out for the description since I was planning on doing it on the website later... But the title should have been (spelling might be borked) Hillsborough Community College District Board of Trustees Plaque.
Yeah i had the game open the whole time. I submitted it on a break during class at the local college, then had my game on for the next hour and a half and then I was walking around campus playing...
@NianticGiffard This is also happen to me. Nomination a POI ‘White Shrine’ in Pokémon GO since 6.30 AM UTC+7, open the game (on Battery Server mode) the whole time I shopped for groceries and walked back home, and it is 8.32 AM now with no notification e-mail yet, but nominations number is already deducted.
Then I try again at 7.51 AM on another POI, I got the e-mail & it appears on the list.
I wish the problem going to solve itself soon. I live in the red zone of COVID-19 with a lot infected cases, every time I going out to nominate is a risk.
Having the same issue, submitted 2 nominations around 6:30pm ET, no email confirmation and the nominations aren't showing on my Wayfarer account.
Looks like @Jonkathonk-PGO has made a bug report at https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/20981/new-nominations-not-showing-up-in-wayfarer-no-email-confirmations for reference if you wanna upvote that. It sounds like I'm not the only one with this problem...
I'm just hoping if the system is just being slow... That I am able to edit the nomination before it gets upgraded and goes into voting... Because I just had gobbledygook for the description and the supporting info to be edited later... And if my nomination has evaporated id like to have it back... I'm on an every other day cycle of getting nominations back so it ultra sucks that i just lost one for today...
I had this issue as well today.
Nomination is still missing almost 16 hours later...

Thanks for responding. I just sent a chat in the "general questions" section since I don't see anything pertaining to Wayfarer in the Pokémon Go app...
Still no nomination showing up on the Wayfarer site as of 9:35AM EDT the next day. Also submitted some photo and title/description edits on my walk this morning and those confirmation emails came through, but nothing about yesterday's spent nomination.
I am having the same issue several users describe above - submitted several wayspots yesterday between 19 pm and about 2 am, haven't received either confirmation email or queued wayspots on Wayfinder. It's not related to the OS or device, because this morning I submitted a few more POIs and they already show up on Wayfarer.
I find this extremely frustrating because said POIs were in an extremely turistic and historically rich area (Roman ruins of Merida, Spain), and I actually spent some time of my vacations creating proper Photospheres in Street View to help the evaluation process.
Hope this issue gets solved soon.
A Friend and I both submitted POI's yesterday also. Been about 24 hours now and no email or nomination in wayfarer. Also lost a nomination in app..
I am having the same issues. 24 hrs later, I still haven’t received an email or seen anything on Wayfarer about the nomination I made yesterday. PoGo still shows that I did make the nomination…
I faced the same issues 4 months back. I nominated 6 noms and one of them disappeared. No email and no record in wayfarer. But after like 2 hours I got it’s approval email. I was shocked that how could it be approved so fast. (I even didn’t added its description or supporting info as I had to add it from wayfarer).
And no noms here don’t take this less time for approval. The rest noms I did same time 4 months back are still in voting from months even after upgrading.
Still haven't heard back from in-game support, and its been over 24 hours since my nomination was submitted and its still nonexistent.
As more people report this issue, could you ask the Wayfarer team to proactively look into it, and maybe provide a few announcements here? It sounds like this is affecting quite a few people, and none of my friends have heard feedback from the in game support, yet.
We've had this issue a few years ago, too. Actually, NianticCasey promised a "double nomination" period, but that hasn't been followed through, yet (admittedly because global pandemic concerns).
So almost 12 hours later... I got a canned uselss response from in-game support... As follows:

End of support session... Completely useless, canned response. I KNOW how wayfarer works... This is abnormal that my nomination has just been chewed up and evaporated into thin air. Can I (and others having the same issue) get some help here? Thanks.
@NianticGiffard Could you perhaps provide detailed instructions regarding how your customers are to open a dialogue with your team in-game?
How should they navigate the Support maze, what sort of info should they give, is there a catch-phrase that will cue first-level Support to raise the issue with you?
I too submitted a stop yesterday and it ate up a nomination but no email nor does it show up in wayfarer. I also received a useless response that I elaborated on afterward and got the same response but expanded, explaining how the process works. No answer to my actual problem.
I just got back the same canned response.
So I received another response after telling them that that response did NOT answer my concern and was abosuletly no help... Came back with THIS:

New PokéStop nominations that are deemed ineligible by the player community will not be overturned. EVERYONE with this issue - close the app and restart your phone! Sometimes things just need to sync up.
Respond to them again. They've misunderstood. A bunch of people had similar in the fall of 2019, and nominations got temporarily lost in the system. In my own instance, even though Support wasn't much help then either, especially since many people had same problem, but they started to appear a few days later.
I did respond back once more... Tried to spell it out more clearly, again. Now with the 2019 instance, what happened with upgrades? Im worried about it going into voting or getting an upgrade before I can change the description or add supporting information. Because both I just typed in some random letters to be changed later which obviously I can't do at the moment. If it eats an upgrade up at some point without me being able to edit it ahead of time i'm going to be extra upset.

@NianticGiffard Good Morning! I am too having this issue with a nominations lost in the system. I reached out via support per your recommendation and like others just received a canned (but different) response from Kharren that nowhere addresses the issue. Please advise.
