So far, all the visual updates are the opposite of an improvement. The auto scrolling was annoying but you can go to Settings and turn it off. All the photos and font is about 25% smaller now. I keep getting black boxes for the Location Accuracy. Hopefully the experience will be better by weeks end as they roll out all the changes.
I think the black box in location verification is because it's set to always go to streetview but when there is no view in range you get black box. You can still switch to overhead view, but certainly a problem.
I was about to list the things that made Wayfarer easier to use which have disappeared (the "duplicate?" alert, S14/S17 grid, "Open In..." button below the map) when I realised it is simply that Wayfarer+ doesn't work with the new code. Niantic won't care, as Wayfarer+ wasn't endorsed, but it definitely made things easier to review, which had to be a good thing. I hope Wayfarer+ comes back
It's always nice when companies make QOL updates to improve the look and feel based on what their audience wants. But when Niantic talks about big improvements my first thoughts are always 'oh no, not again' 😂
You can’t even check your pin location is correct in your nomination queue. How do we know we got it correct, because of trees etc. There is no streetview to check. This isn’t an update it’s gone back into the dark ages. It’s useless. As for the crashing issues. They are obviously rolling out the delayed upload and broke it as per usual.
If you are reviewing and the Location Accuracy box shows up black, do this: Click the "Suggest New Location" box and satellite view will show up. Then hit the refresh button (circular arrow in right hand corner of section) so you don't have to select a new location. You should at least have the satellite view for verification.
When I do a search for a new object category in mobile and click on my intended result, it goes blank. I can only hope I didn't miss it and that I got the right one, since I can't tell anymore. Would be nice to see things like I used to. 😂
This is a real problem. It makes checking for duplicates so much harder in cases where there are several similar points of interest - like groups of baseball fields or picnic shelters - in the same area.
This has helped me find duplicates in the past. Sometimes the "Check for duplicates" looks fine at first glance but I'll notice a dot on the same POI on the other map and scroll back up to see what its connected to. I'll sometimes find that it is indeed a duplicate taken from a strange angle or from far away so I didnt notice the first time through. Leaving this as is will increase the amount of duplicates in the game for sure.
It's just as bad on Android, I can't call up Street View, the Google Maps window is tiny and in the overview of wayspots I submitted myself I can no longer see my own location precisely because the image is "frozen".
This is just an intermediate situation. Niantic is upgrading the system in stages. Give it time.
If the "What is it" values don't load, don't do it (except the few times it's required.) @CipherBlakk-PGO
Showing nearby existing wayspots without showing where they are on the map... Either it's a mistake and they'll come back, OR it's on purpose because Niantic doesn't want identical statues, pavilions, etc to each have a waypoint - when they're close enough to be selected for this view. We'll see!

Noticing lots of blank space and auto scrolling so far. I’m sure it’s still being fine tuned.
I hope it's possible to go back to the previous version, in the mobile version of the site it's difficult to visualize the Street View correctly.

Still can't click links in description, photos too small, rejection box is now confusing to use.
Not a fan of the smaller stars either, makes it harder to click them when using mobile phone
Certainly having this problem, which is weird because the layout has room for larger tap targets.
The height of the map areas seem to have been reduced quite a bit on the desktop version, which is a bit of a pain.
On the bright side, you can get large previews of other wayspot photos as popups now, rather than having them load in a new browser tab.
It's funny as well, by making everything smaller, it now looks more clutered and cramped than it did before
On the tablet it makes no fun to work with the new design. I stop voting. It needed to much time.
Can't see wayspot " circles " on map either very difficult to check for duplicates now via Street view.
Bruh I can't even look at streetview, apart from the closest one. If I quit the streetview, there is no yellow person to grab anymore.

There's a big L on the top of the upgrade meter on your profile - what even is that for?
And "Wayfarer +" is no longer compatible ...
Since the changes at Wayfarer, I can no longer use the overview for the location, I can neither make it large (expand) nor can I use Street View.
Why can't we see the approved wayspots on the bottom map? Is this a bug or a feature?
Wayfarer+ is third party software and it always gets thrown whenever Wayfarer has a refresh.
Great work of the QA team! The most broken update of Wayfarer.

I don't like it doesn't show the full supporting information by default:

Yes. This is a HUGE issue.
It’s absolutely painful to review on iPhone now. If Niantic wanted to encourage fewer people to review, they have succeeded.
