Whilst it's obviously in the process of being worked on and there are more than a few hiccups with it right now, can we at least appreciate the fact that we now have a visible character count (and limit) when editing our nominations?
it is clear that currently approved poi are not being properly synced. I have had a new pokestop that is not in ingress. This seems to have been happening for over a week.
We use the ingress info to check for duplicates. But if new approved spots are not appearing in ingress could we missing duplicates?
Just went back reviewing, and my goodness. I didn't like the new interface, at least in the mobile version.
Everything goes smaller—the text font size, the buttons (including star rating), the photos, the map, everything else except the box for each section either didn't follow the scaling, or it's just as big as before.
Not sure if this has never been an option, but I just realized I nominated a point of interest last week where the location is slightly off from where it actually is. So I was going to withdraw the nomination (which has already gone into voting) and resubmit from scratch.
There is no option to withdraw a nomination already being voted on. I checked other nominations in voting and they all are showing the same thing -- no option to withdraw.
One other feature missing in this updated version is the distance scale on the Check for Duplicates map. Being able to see roughly how far the nomination was from other similar Wayspots helped me decide how to answer the Visually Unique question. I think it's also an essential tool in cases where you can't clearly see the points of interest on the satellite map, like trail markers in the woods. I had to review a trail head that looked just like an existing Wayspot, but with no scale on the map I was really just guessing whether the two pins were 5 meters apart - ie a duplicate - or 1000+ meters away at the other end of the trail.
In the real world, substantial changes to an interface are strenuously researched and subjected to scrutiny by beta testers and focus groups before being implemented. These changes are not improvements, which any tester or group would have pointed out. I didn’t think anything else would make my free work as a reviewer any less desirable. I was wrong.
The resizing of the "Why is this an ineligible Wayspot Nomination?" box when clicking on different categories is quite annoying. This needs to be reverted back to its original setting please.
It looks atrocious right now, and Wayfarer+ doesn't work anymore. And as of today, the French version reverted to English and I can't go back to French...
Considering we know there is ongoing maintenance, perhaps @NianticTintino or @NianticGiffard could offer guidance about how much of what we're seeing is the final product vs what additional changes we can expect?
Opening the hamburger menu and tapping on "Nominations" whilst already on the Nominations page now no longer refreshes the page. Not sure I like that change.
The most annoying thing for me now is that I can't copy some text from site to translate it in translator :(
I just had Description edit to review, and I couldn't copy text that I have to choose from, but I could copy text like
"Best Description
Choose the most relevant description for this Wayspot" - and all other title parts, but not the description itself.
It's a bit annoying when you can't copy this text as I can't understand in any other way what description says.
I get nominations from 4 different countries, all use different languages. I sometimes got something from other countries too. I only know language of one of this country, so translating text is important part of my reviewing ;)
@NianticTintino and @NianticGiffard please pass our "bug reports" to your developer team so they can fix it, thank you :)
I review on PC, Win10, browser is Mozilla Firefox, if that could help you.
I am not reviewing until we get an answer from Niantic on the distance stuff - because if we get a bad answer I will just stop playing and of course stop submitting and reviewing.
I haven't been able to get Wayfarer to even load on Chrome (desktop) since this update started, it's just a blank white screen. Disabled wayfarer+ but it didn't make a difference.
When scrolling through my nominations on safari (iphone), the screen moves left and right a bit as if it's not sized properly.
I contacted Niantic Support and they said it was my internet connection that I couldn't see the satellite view. Which seems historically to be their response for most everything wrong is to blame the players internet connection - lol
Every time the Google Maps camera is placed too high on the map, it looks like it is set by default at the same height as the ISS.
I must systematically scroll down to be able to see if the spot is well placed where it is needed and that it is not stuck to another already existing whereas before, the camera was placed much lower, a few hundred of meters from the ground, bath sufficient enough to visualize a neighborhood
Yeah, I get that now, I've edited my post asking for it to be disregarded. Now please excuse me whilst I go to get a cuppa. Hopefully the caffeine helps my brain engage haha
I'm sure this has always been this way. Once it's "In Voting" you can't touch it. I had a POI identical to mine approved at least a month before the updates to Wayfarer, and was unable to withdraw mine since it went into voting as soon as the other one was approved.
I too, am very hopeful that the changes are still being worked on, that the update to Wayfarer isn't complete yet.
I'll echo the annoying bits others have already pointed out:
No current waypoint markers on the streetview/satellite-view map
black streetview when there's no nearby view available (thankfully I don't have the problem others are having with being unable to grab the pin man to select a new streetview point, but that's a big concern)
clicking on a larger view of any photo in the nomination lacks the 'X' button, on desktop you can click off the pic to dismiss it, but I imagine on mobile it would fill the screen and there would be no way of clicking off it and you'd have to refresh the page, which would clear all your star selections
The little things I do appreciate:
Nice clear profile pic on the profile page (at one point it was annoyingly blurry, it's fixed in this update, and is lovely again)
larger "submit and finish reviewing" portion of the submit button
Like I said, I am hopeful they are still working on it, fine tuning, but hopefully they consider the feedback here

This was only true for upgraded submissions. I've withdrawn several non-upgraded in-voting submissions for a variety of reasons, including two just last Wednesday before they made the change. (I'm glad I got very lucky there.)
I generally review on my computer due to visual issues (if being old with lousy vision can be thus described). This past weekend I took my first out-of-state vacation in a long while and looked forward to maybe getting some relaxed reviews in, but since I didn't bring my laptop I made the attempt on mobile. I think I got through two or three nominations before I gave up in frustration. :(

Oh I hope the auto scrolling to the next selection box does not stay - that's awful!

The Stars and arrow symbols don't even load in my screen
I hove for good it's only matter of time they fix it
I'll bet that's the first thing that gets removed with future updates and fixes, "lbvs"
But for real, I've never hit the limit before and even I think it's useful.
I don’t know if I’m worrying unnecessarily….

Has this been checked.
It can be disabled in the settings:

Nominations in queue seem to be unaffected.
Is this new or has this changed from the past?

fixed it from another comment but thanks! - didn't think to look there since i had not changed anything on my end

Is this part of the upgrade? I can't click on the map in my nominations to see the imagery view.

Can’t submit invalid location. No button, no scroll availability. So painful 😣
Edited: please disregard this. I should have caffeine before posting haha
I may be wrong, but I think he is saying that he is not able to 1* nominations because the submit button is not visible and there's no scrollbar.

pls make the stars where u rate bigger, they are too small when u sit on pc...

I'm quite certain I've been able to withdraw nomination in the past too. I've since also found this that indicates you could withdraw those in voting.
Niantic Support has been way less than forth-coming when being asked point-blank repeatedly whether this is a change from the past.

it Is not giving an option for streetview when looking at edits in terms of location. For most of these I’m having to choose unable to determine.
Hoping we will get some clear info as the maintenance was meant to finish today.
