Nomination accepted and doesn’t appear in Ingress however has appeared in Pokémon.

This waypoint does not appear on the intel map as it is too close to another waypoint so does not appear in Ingress. However is in it’s own cell and has appeared in Pokémon Go. Is there some new distance/cell rules I’m not aware of? It wasn’t my nomination but I reviewed it and I know the area well enough to know it was to a nearby pub waypoint. I have since been there and it has appeared in Pokémon.

this bug seems to exist since july

This isn’t the same thing. This is definitely too close to another waypoint and yet has appeared in Pokémon
This isn’t the same thing. This waypoint is definitely too close to another waypoint because I reviewed it. Yet it still appeared in Pokémon.
It is a known bug where Wayspots nominations that were automatically rejected by the system due to proximity to another Wayspot are still appearing in Pokemon Go. The Wayspot will be removed in a few days when the system recalibrates itself.
There's some different bugs happening, indeed:
It seems some wayspots that break the 20m rule somehow end up in PGO (and maybe HPWU), but are removed automatically after a few days.
PGO and HPWU sync is very inconsistent lately. It works on some days, and doesn't in others.
Some wayspots that don't break any rule seem to appear in PGO and HPWU but not in Ingress.
Don’t see why that should happen since it’s already live. It’s like moving a portal on top of another. They don’t get removed they remain and you get a fold out menu confirming which portal you want to select.
It happened to nome POIs reported here in this forum. They showed in PGO for a few days and then disappeared.
But the nomination wasn't added to the Lightship database, so it showing up in Pokemon Go is an anomaly. That anomaly will be automatically cleaned up once Pokemon Go syncs back up with Lightship.
I've just had a portal accepted and for arguments sake the nearest portal is 17m.
It's in ingress and on IITC ( solo in a lvl 17 ) what does that mean for the other games ?
I'm just generally curious.
The same thing happened twice with me, the first one was excluded from the system and I hope the same doesn't happen with the second nomination. While Niantic doesn't solve it, we will continue to lose upgrades.
AFAIK if it's 17m from another wayspot it shouldn't go to any game.
It's very confusing but it's appeared in ingress which is a good thing to have happened.
I don't mind if it doesn't appear in other games was just wondering 👍🏻
Would you mind sharing Intel link? If not that's fine 👍
I'd prefer not to as it's around my area no disrespect meant.
I did use a couple measuring apps both saying 30m plus.
We are talking about meters right ? 😬
Yes, meters.
If it's 30m it's not a problem at all... How are you measuring?
Don't know how accurate it is only tried it for the first time the other day.
An app don't know if I'm aloud to say, it measures distance from one point to another in meters on satellite view UI. It can also measure kilometres.
( Someone told me in my community it converted to Pokémon after the app saying it was 30m )

Hey folks,
I understand that the submission is approved and yet, it is not showing up in the Scanner. Even after the review process, the submission might go through some additional automated review, and then it will be made live in the game. If the location is eligible to show on Ingress, then the Portal might show up in a few days.
Thanks,
@NianticAaron No, something is wrong. My first cases were accepted without upgrades on 7/29/21. Both are still live in Pokemon Go and not in Ingress. I have had two more accepted yesterday and this morning without upgrading, and neither of those is on the scanner either. Will check today after sync to verify they went live in Pokemon Go. The two upgraded nominations I have had accepted during this time have both gone live immediately in Ingress and after sync in Pokemon Go as expected. And two other nominations that were accepted without upgrades also went live as expected. I think that something on the back end that is actually making not upgraded nominations move through the system - they were not moving before - has caused these nominations to not show up in Ingress.
The only additional automated review we know about is the 20m Proximity check. There's no reason why this should take in excess of two weeks, far over the "few days" quoted by Aaron above. My missing waypoint is Wayfarer-eligible, Pokemon Go-eligible, HPWU-eligible, AND Ingress-eligible, yet it's missing from exactly one thing and that's Ingress. I never applied an upgrade to this candidate and so waited months for it to be reviewed and accepted, so telling me to wait still longer in case it magically appears is not the answer I want to hear at this point - and it's a message not consistent with what the Ingress side of Niantic is saying, either. Maybe you should have an interdisciplinary huddle or two?
@NianticAaron
I don’t know many people who appreciate being told lies. Do you write this stuff, yourself, or is it scripted for you?
Thanks
My missing portal is at the red dot for the town justice court. Spacing is not an issue.
This does not seem to be the case unless its new, if it is new, please officially state this, I k ow niantic isn't happy with stating things like that because "abuse" bit if things being accepted arw still having g to go through other reviews, it's only fair people k ow, especially if these accepted things then get rejected through a further review.
Hello again,
Thank you for your patience.
We are currently working to upgrade Ingress’ Portal Network backend to the latest versions of Niantic Lightship and Wayfarer. This should improve consistency with how Ingress Portal nominations and edits work going forward.
Due to upgrades we are making to the backend, Portal nominations, and photo submissions and edits will be delayed for several weeks, and we are actively working to address this. Please note that you do not need to submit these nominations/edits/photos again.
Thanks,
And there's the Ingress message this time. Maybe they did have that huddle! Regardless, "Portal nominations" have not been delayed. We can still nominate, but our go-live/publication/appearance of certain non-upgraded Waypoints on the Intel map and in game is what's delayed. Also, "Portal nominations, and photo submissions and edits will be delayed for several weeks, and we are actively working to address this" is the sort of clumsy sentence that gives me a headache, and I hope you will work to address this issue as well. Please note: I prefer the Oxford Comma. :)
@NianticAaron Sorry for the tag. But you used same two replies in this post for answering my thread as well . Are all the responses the admins make in the community forum drafted and copy pasted like this ?
https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/21952/ingress-accepted-submissions-are-not-becoming-portals-in-no-portal-regions#latest this is the thread of mine explaining the same situation. And nianticaron answering same two replies
Hi thanks for the confirmation of the problem.
I have asked separately if this issue about the POI database could impact on the portals that reviewers are seeing when they check for duplicates. Could we have answer please.
It would be helpful to have an estimated timeline for completion of this work .
Keeping us informed helps promote a good relationship between wayfarer community volunteers and wayfarer itself.
Hello @Elijustrying-ING,
Thanks for bringing this up. I have noted that this is something we should look into; I'll be sure to bring it up to our team. Hope to have an answer soon.
