Has there been any further thought on this by the folks at Niantic about better instructions? Perhaps saying about the criteria, what happens when stuff is rejected etc.? Just tagging you @NianticGiffard as you seem to respond the most, but no pressure to do so right away or anything but some official response from the team following the criticism would help.
Did you follow “Design Thinking” on this, as I can’t see the part where you would have increased your exposure to Wayfarers on this design and took the feedback onboard. Would love to see the thinking that went into this where it was thought that this graphic was the solution.
At this point I honestly don't know how well Niantic is handling criticism these days.
For instance, the automatic addition of Pokestops/gyms straight from the Foursquare database in some countries - mostly consisting of terrible, ineligible spots - drew a ton of criticism here on the forum, and Niantic have apologized and even provided a Google form to report those (which I personally think is a horrible way of dealing with it, but at least it's something).
You'd think that the lesson was learnt, right? Except nope, a short while later the same automatic addition of ineligible wayspots happened in additional locations (namely Finland and Russia, as far as I saw).
In addition to the lack of AMAs as of late, I really don't know if we can have high hopes for significant improvements at the moment.
@SilverLyra-PGO it looks like you left us in the forum but for everyone else - yes we're looking to do another AMA soon! @NianticTintino is still getting his feet wet with ALL THE THINGS, but will organize one soon. Thanks for your patience!
On the infographic content itself, some of you got it right that the intent was to build general awareness for the majority of Wayfarer users who aren't as engaged as the rest of you! For seasoned Explorers, yea, it's much less useful. And the flow of the content is totally on me. Thank you for your feedback.
Specifically, I totally agree that it has to be about learning about the 'why' and the 'what' before the 'how'. That's why we are going to funnel all new users to the Wayfarer website first for orientation and quizzing, before unlocking submission and review features. Besides, as I mentioned in the recent update, there are lots of other features in design and development which ultimately would render this infographic (and perhaps even your own) obsolete. 😅

Nope, still here! 😉 Looks like the tag wasn't working for some reason.
Definitely looking forward to another AMA once Tintino gets the hang of things.
weird that I can't tag you - time for me to feedback to Vanilla!
It's because her username is SiiverLyra. Third "i" is capitalized.
Oh, you're right, that must be it! 😅
