The Wayspot is seen to be on the Fire Headquarter property. Supporting photos also show that the fire department can utilize the space directly in front of the wayspot when needed. This would, at the very least, make it unsafe to access. Additionally, I believe this passage from a previous AMA can be easily extended to fire stations:
What parts of a hospital or on a hospital grounds are acceptable considering the emergency services guideline? Specifically hospital gardens, artwork, statues, historical markers or other indoor locations at hospitals. When considering Wayspots at a hospital, please avoid locations where gameplay would get in the way of medical professionals and other essential workers. This guideline should also be applied to all areas where essential work is happening. Unfortunately, that means that locations inside and around a hospital are ineligible. Gardens or statues outside that are publicly accessible could be eligible so long as playing nearby wouldn’t interfere with hospital operation s.
Gameplay would certainly get in the way of essential workers since fire trucks and other emergency vehicles need the area clear when emergencies occur. Thus, the wayspot should be removed since it "obstructs or interferes with emergency services".

Appeal Denied - Thanks for the appeal, Agent. We took another look at the Portal in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
