FAKE/ABUSE Nomination in Winter Garden, FL
Just reviewed a nomination, almost got me... But its 100% fake. Nomination may be related to @AisforAndis-ING's discussion here: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/21315/abuse-winter-garden-st-cloud-related
Nomination is inside a home, that on Google Maps is under construction but is very clearly a new housing development. Picture and nomination however are screen-captures from a church in OH, at 3548 Good Rd, Seville, OH 44273. NOT in Winter Garden, FL...

That’s amateur. Don’t compare that to St. Cloud.
Uh. no, I am in a group with @AisforAndis-ING and he told me to link it to this, bub.
Just got another one with FAKE images.... They are clearly screenshots.
Same neighborhood. Fits the same pattern
Interesting that another new account here has an opinion on the nomination abuse in St. Cloud.
Huh? An opinion on what? It's... Fake?
Yes, it's fake. Though the person responding above doesn't seem very impressed. Which I find curious, that's all. My account here is relatively new, as well, though I *have* read the St Cloud threads, and this pattern seems familiar.
Ah... yeah that is odd?
@NianticGiffard can you nip this in the bud before it gets worse? Thanks
The stop "Academia ao ar livre" has been approved. Please remove. @NianticGiffard 28.41925025349783, -81.62041283288785 it is FAKE!
@TrevorAlan-PGO Not only is it private residential property, but this is where the image was stolen from: https://www.folhadevalinhos.com.br/artigos/valinhos/cidade/bairros-recebem-academias-ao-ar-livre-para-atividades-fisicas
Thanks! I didn't look up where the image was from. But I could tell it was stolen since it fit the other report by @AisforAndis-ING and when clicked they were TINY thumbnails not full-sized images.
Also, looks like @NianticGiffard just got around to this one along with my other report, as of this morning it has been deleted from the map.
Thanks for the flag, @TrevorAlan-PGO! We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the Wayspots and the Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
Hey @NianticGiffard yet another fake one got approved, can you take care of it and like actually ban this person so they stop?

@NianticGiffard as shown here that area is HOUSES. Please take action on this person!
Thanks for letting me know. We'll review it again and take appropriate action.
We have reviewed the report and have taken action on the reported Wayspot and the Wayfinder in accordance with our policies. Thanks for helping us maintain the quality of the Wayspots.
Nice, one wayspot at a time. What's the next PoI that will appear at that location? How long will it take?
If a resident or business complains about the traffic that a POI generates, there appears to be some method of removing the spot from games and blocking the area from hosting future waypoints/stops. So is there a way to use that same system to create an in-game blackout, specifically of the residential areas where these keep getting placed?
@NianticGiffard Yet another fake in Winter Garden, in the exact same spot as the last several.

Whatever punishment you haven given this person so far clearly has not worked, it would be much appreciated this person had their submission rights taken away given the clearly do not intend to change their ways.
Surprise @NianticGiffard, it's a two-for-one!
There is ZERO reason this person should still have nomination privileges.
@NianticGiffard Yet another fake submission in the same spot. Can you please look into proper punishment that will put an end to this?
We have reviewed the report and have taken necessary actions on the Wayspot and the Wayfinder involved.
Man, Winter Garden has so many legit waypoints dating back to the early Ingress days, there is no reason to be doing this
Couch stop in new development... 🤷🏻♂️
This person keeps trying over and over.
WOW. Regarding the church in the first post of this thread...
We as reviewers definitely tend to breeze through "given" nominations like churches that don't appear to be duplicates. But the submitter didn't even try here with their abuse. Medina is the name of the town/county near the address given--of course, it could just be the name of the church. The clear giveaway was the area code on the phone number: definitely an Ohio area code and not a Florida one, so completely fake, unless now churches in Florida are putting cell phone numbers from locales on the other side of the country. I don't expect reviewers to know area codes all over the US (I certainly don't), but I happen to have relatives in that area, so it jumped out at me. Just another thing for reviewers to look out for, especially for nominations in areas known for abuse...
Yeah it almost caught me but I got suspicious when I noticed its an old looking church, and Google satellite imagery is showing an under construction area. But then looking up the church pulled up Ohio.
Is it just me, or did that two Wayspots in that neighborhood are actually "fake" playgrounds that were previously reported in this forum?
@NianticGiffard, They are back at it again. I attached another review photo pending moderator approval...
@NianticGiffard nomination named:
Watermark Playground, Playground for Kids.
Roundabout ~ 28.419064050748062, -81.62110191827523
Looks like it was stolen from around ~28.430188325430358, -81.62285786070584 Where the other "watermark" nominations are, and where the complex is.
People probably got their new account to lv38+, best to ban them again and remove any nominations from that area from the queue (I'm sure they'll blast their 40)
They're back at it again @NianticGiffard
