Wayspot removal, biased?
So I'm really pissed off by how wayspot removal is being handled.
I posted this unfair removal, it has happened 5 times and as I explain in my post, these seem to be deliberated attacks to one agent who lives near the range of the removed portal.
The mod said yes when someone asked if it was removed because it was in the wall of a private property, but the again, that wall is in the street and the mural has public access. If this is the case, then half of the wayspots in the city should be removed cause a lot of murals are made in the walls of private properties. So why removing specifically this and refusing to put it back in the game? I really doubt that the owner of the house requested the wayspot removal cause having it there does 0 damage to them (it's not even in the front of the house) and I don't think that they even know there's a wayspot there.
Tbh this situation sucks cause ok, you allow wayspots inside private condominiums and private companies that are completely inaccessible but not portals in the street that have public access? This is frustrating and unfair, and seriously makes me want to quit because of how these situations are handled.
What do you think?

You say that this decision is unfair, but it is more unfair that the number of wayspots in your city is doubled by murals on private residential property.
An outward facing wall of a single family dwelling is still part of that single family dwelling, and that's something that is listed under both the rejection criteria and the removal criteria.
In the UK, we have brown and blue heritage plaques that often tell you about a historically important person or building. Some of these are on private residential property. We know that the ones on PRP are not eligible to submit, even though the property owners must consent to making them accessible to the public if they're having one installed on their house. Niantic have their own set of rules for wayspots and we should respect and follow those rules.
As I said to you in another thread, the portals on private company property are still accessible, and are arguably more accessible than portals located in remote parts of the world such as Antarctica. If someone on the opposing team has access to a portal on a business property that you don't, then that's unlucky, but it's not unfair. Your team will have access to some portals that they don't as well - it works both ways.
Yeah, biased indeed.
^ LOL
”That player can’t have a wayspot where he works!” and “Why can’t I have a wayspot where I live?” from the same mind.
Just because a house wall can touched from the street doesn't make it public property. It's still part of that private dwelling.
Private companies are a different matter.
All Niantic games affect 40m from its wayspots. You don't have a right to build things on someone's home's property. Even if those things are virtual - throw a resonator in someone's living room, or run PokeMon thru their back yard.
Niantic has a very explicit rule prohibiting Wayspots on private residential property (ie single family homes) going back since at least 2014. There are no such rules prohibiting Wayspots in the common areas of condos, apartments, townhouse complexes, or companies. It doesn't matter of the home owner gave permission (implicit, explicit, or otherwise) for the Wayspot, the rule prohibiting Wayspots on private residential property still stands.
