Additional information: There is a typo in the title. There is no such thing as a "Gedekkstein", it has to be called a "Gedenkstein". I also wanted to shorten the title, which was far too long, but the community probably preferred to keep the spelling mistake.

Thanks for the appeal, @WayfarerMSE-PGO! Based on the evidence provided, we’ve made necessary changes to the Pokéstop/Gym's title.
I was hoping that you would use my suggested title, but okay, a spelling correction is okay too.
Did you provide the preffered, shortend version here? If its just "Gedenkstein", I think the longer description is better since its more unique and contains more info.
I definitely didn't want to change the title to just "Gedenkstein". Take a look at my rejection email. There is the title I proposed. (Gedenkstein Kämpfer Deutscher Arbeiterklasse 07.10.1959)
But it doesn't matter. I am also satisfied with the solution.
