Review Area Sync for New Area

United States here. I recently moved to a new state a few weeks ago yet I am not getting any reviews for the local area. My home location and bonus location are in other states and my previous location where I played for a few years is still providing me with nominations to review, but when will I start getting reviews for my new area?
I've had it before where I spent one night in a location and was getting nominations to review from that area for like 3 months, which was really annoying because I had no connection to that area.
So is there like a sync every month or 3 months and I just need to wait, or has anyone experienced anything different?

What's your home page "featured Wayspots" page? If it hasn't updated to reflect your current play area, you may need to log into your linked Ingress account to get Wayfarer to recognize your new location.
Good idea thank you. I don't play my Ingress account but that could totally be the issue. I will update here if it is the reason.
When it comes to Wayfarer review area, Ingress is king. It doesn't matter if you don't have Wayfarer access through that app. For whatever reason, the current review area still prioritizes your last Ingress area.
Fun fact, if you're ever traveling and have logged into Ingress but don't want to review that area, turn off your GPS, open Ingress, and within a few hours you won't have no associated local area for Wayfarer. You'll continue to review home & bonus areas but you won't see edits, local reviews, or upgrades.
For this, that one night that turned into 3 months of reviews in that area, I did not turn on ingress unless I did it by accident. But I only played Ingress in one city only and never again.
