More Evidence Reviewers Do Not Like Reading...

I have this nomination which was previously temporary and is now permanent. I provided the following news article to back up my claim that the football club won the auction and put it on permanent display. Yet got rejected as "temporary or seasonal" because people do not bother to read the supporting information!
In regards to "submitted real-word location does not match up". Could I have been any clearer? It's by the gate, as shown!

I wish I'd got this to review. Gallagher is cute and very worthy of being a wayspot. Instead I mostly get people submitting photos of their streets (not even the street name signs, just the tarmac).
Have you ever review nominations before ?! Your description is way too long.
A Description this long DON'T show up ! The reviewers will only see the first hundred (?) characters followed by three dots and that's it.
So it's not they don't like reading but they absolutely can't. You should have known this..

Also, they can click on the URL, look at the images (which also show it is permanent) and if things are not immediately clear, a good reviewer may even do their own quick search, which will prove this is Wayspot worthy.
Those people making those nominations you mention, sound like the exact sort people who reviewed my own nomination. They simply do not care to do a good job. A waste of everyone's time!

Well you know Niantic, they appear to lack the ability to do proper testing of their products, as evidenced by the Pikmin debacle. It could be your chosen web browser is incompatible with Wayfarer? Maybe Niantic broke Wayfarer (again)?
I don't trust them to do a good job, and the below is further evidence of that (seeing as they new about the major flaw in their game since May 2021 at least but released it anyway):

Descriptions can be 512 characters long, though I think in app you can only submit 256 characters and then you have to edit it on the Wayfarer website to get access to the full 512.
Back when Ingress was still using the redacted version, descriptions could be much longer than this. I've seen old wayspots with descriptions that rival the length of university essays haha.
My description was 512 characters long. If had more room, I'd have added even more information to really emphasise this solid Wayspot material. There's a good story behind this item, but sadly I got an ignorant batch of reviewers. I've had a lot of good stuff accepted recently, so I can't complain too much, I guess.
"description is too long" always gets me - it's not a great reason for rejection. I enjoy a good detailed description, myself.
It's not a reason for rejection at all.
But if you can't see the full description, and the missing part includes some details that makes you approve it, it's sad.
I think other people can have the same problem I have, not seeing more than the 256 first characters on their browser.
Yeah, reviewers don't read supplemental information or really long descriptions. The best you can do is create a photo sphere nearby and try to keep the info short and sweet. Referring to anything as "permanent", "not on private property", or something obvious or important to that effect is going to make reviewers just assume you are lying.

The information is there to help reviewers decide if a nomination is worthy of becoming a Wayspot. I included a URL which goes to the official website of the football club and it backs up whatever claims I was making.
All information regarding a wayspot should be taken into consideration. If you are not from the area the nomination is from. Do the read work wether you're someone who likes reading or not.
I don't think they' read rejection reasons either. My 2 bike routes have got rejected twice (so 4x @ 2 stops each) and one of them was a live animal. the other 3 "did not meet acceptance criteria" when a bike routes LITERALLY IS THE ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA🤦. I even linked the map in the description
Those that do are biased such that they want a long drawn out argument for the most mundane nominations; even if you do that they will fault you somewhere. I describe the nomination, say how it meets criteria, maybe link to a website and make a photosphere; in my book that's plenty. I'm not going to go out of my way to prove to you a restaurant is "popular" or that a object isn't seasonal by creating some drawn out collage. Or digging up information that can easily be researched on the website itself. My life isn't wayfarer and reviewers like this will find out that rejections like that will just see the waypoint submitted again.

Know your audience. If you already believe that reviewers don’t read, then don’t write long descriptions. If, already believing that reviewers don’t read, you write a long description anyway, and your nomination (quite predictably, at this point) gets rejected, then you may rightfully blame yourself first.
Also, your supplemental photo is not good at all. It looks like you’d have to be standing in the razor wire to get that image. Step back and get the whole elephant and all the surrounding area, don’t just rely on one gate (which, I don’t even know, is that the only gate like that? Seems like there could be others) and reviewers’ (the same reviewers who don’t read) ability to imagine themselves on the other side of the elephant to show the location.
As for the temporary rejection, I think you know that you did that to yourself by introducing it as a parade decoration to reviewers who you already know will read as little as possible.
How can I sell this nomination if I do not add the history of it for context?
Fair point on the photograph(s). This is duly noted. However, my overall understanding of what you just wrote is:
"Don't nominate anything with a cool story behind it, just focus on easy to understand things like sports pitches and playgrounds because reviewers will continue to refuse to adhere to the guidance given to them by Niantic. Therefore, don't bother trying to educate reviewers about the local area with interesting nominations. The reviewers are never at fault."

Yes so true I don't know why people do not read the supporting information.I nominated a park and it was rejected reason being Private residence /farm.
I can try shorter, but I do not want be seen to be excusing declining literary standards here in the Anglosphere.
