New Gym that "does not comply with [..] inclusion rules" remained while older (~2yrs) Gym was removed. Is that supposed to happen?
A few days ago a new Gym appeared in my Neighborhood. It was surprising, because from all i knew there shouldn't be another Gym in that cell. Now, after the annoucement on Twitter, another Gym in that cell got demoted to a regular Pokestop while that new Gym remained. Is that supposed to happen? It is very upsetting for a lot of local players, as that removed Gym was very established and well use (raids&coins).
I would have expected that the new gym has to go not an old one.
I am not even sure if this is the right place to ask for help. If not, maybe someone can show me where to ask for help.

The new gym might have had more “points” (photos and likes) than the old gym. So when The Fix had to figure out which gyms to keep and demote, it demoted the old gym with less “points”
The new Gym that remained has 2 Photos with a total of 1 like, the old gym has 1 photo and 11 Likes.
are you counting likes from Ingress, Pogo, or both?
I’ve had stops that we have had forever vanish, what a mess niantic have made of this
Old or new, its just not right put it and just remove like that. Was so happy about the new gym. Now its gone. Sad.
because Niantic wrote the algorithm that decided all of this? Basically, another bug that just isn't worth addressing for them. We had the same here, even lost a gym that had just been created last week because of a new sponsored stop. So this wasn't an abuse or edit issue, this was a gym Niantic pretty much created themselves, and then took away.
