Also Screenshots von deinem Vorschlag.

For our other user my comment again in English

After writing here in German, I want to give my comment on it. It is currently the same with me that every safe candidate is rejected, sometimes with totally strange reasons. I could post a list of suggestions here, but I don't think that will help much. I think that there could be two reasons at the moment.

Either a lot of new evaluators have passed the test and don't want to go wrong for the devil

Or the system has a moderate bug again and no one has noticed it yet

Why do I come to that? My guess is that something went wrong with the maintenance window recently because, according to the messages that begin with reject.reason, these are not rejection criteria but the evaluation points for description, historically or culturally valuable, secure access, etc. And as soon as there 1 or 2 people because only rate with one star is the whole proposal in the bucket. I have no idea whether this should be reported under "Report a Bug". Or maybe someone can explain that to me plausibly. Maybe I just don't understand something ;-)

For the other users the first post in English, maybe one of them can contribute something

Everything has been rejected since the beginning of November, mostly for completely ridiculous reasons. Up until now, playgrounds were practically a bank, as long as you didn't take a bad photo completely and you could guess the playground on the map to some extent. Meanwhile, the playgrounds hinder emergency services and are not safely accessible, are not culturally valuable, the labeling (playground xy-street) is imprecise or offensive, the location cannot be verified (although clearly visible on the map) etc. etc.

Niantic has definitely changed something. A couple weeks ago I had a decent rate of accepted wayspots. Yesterday I got 4 rejections which never happened before (the reasons were of course complete nonsense). Not sure what it is. Might be bots or people who brute forced the test or maybe Niantic fiddled with the system again but this aint normal.

Now I guess that could be an explanation why my upgraded playground was also rejected. It was a new one and was not visible on satellite images. But my supporting photo clearly showed the street name where it was. I guess one or two 1* votes for location on my upgrade would have already caused the rejection.

    Reasons for rejection

    Location Sensitive

    Temporary or Seasonal Display

I experience exactly the same, Upgrades get permanently rejected for fake reasons, although they are all valid nominations. It is getting even worse the last couple of days. Nominations without Upgrades (in my region it usually takes 1-2 month for a decision) still get accepted, so right now there is literally no motivation to get an Upgrade. I do not know which exact process takes place with an upgrade, but there have to be some changes soon, the system is just ridiculous right now.

Several rejections of valid POI also in my town.

But best example is the rejection of a duplicate, it was rejected due to "real location is a school building".... There is no school nearby. They do not check duplicates... They choose random reasons for rejection...

This is exactly what I am experiencing. Over the last few days a good amount of my submissions from last year got resolved (which is nice) but the majority of them (all playgrounds and similar POIs) got rejected for random reasons.

It feels like the recent changes set the bar too low for votes needed for rejection.

Even a title change for a playground which got remodeled lately and received a new photo just fine was rejected. The carousel on said playground became a swingset, which is reflected on the already updated photo. Yet the name apparently needs to stay put as is (that's what the community wants, if we trust what's written in the notice mail)

That sure is reassuring, players that are updating their local area with POIs and edits in good faith are let down by this behavior. At least in my group, nobody wants to deal with this anymore and quit Wayfarer already.

Sadly, it's a common thing now to get such wierd rejections for very eligible things. All things that were shown in this thread so far should be accepted without much problems. But they're not, and it's very disturbing why it's like that.

As I mentioned in another thread, I tried to nominate playground from town close to my place. It's visible on map and streetview, I did nice photos, added clear and short title and description and some more information in support text. When I made my previous post, it was rejected 2 times so far and one time marked as a duplicate (duplicate for different playground, that is almost 100 m away and looks completely different - and both are visible on map view and streetview).

Now I got third rejection for this playground: First, that it can't be found on map - sigh, it really is visible on both map view and streetview. Second, that title or description is not relevant - I don't know how should I name playgrounds anymore: recently I named it "Metal playground" as it's made of metal elements, and added description "A small metal playground by blocks of flats on XYZ Street".

In my language metal playground might sounds more interesting than in English, but it's still pretty common and relevant name for playgrounds. Maybe it's not the best title or descrption, but for playground there really isn't much you can write. And neither title or description should trigger rejection here.

I nominated another playground in city more than 100 km away from my area in similar time, and it was accepted at first try. But in my area I had to nominate public playground 4 times and still didn't get it accepted. I'm going on a break with nominating things now.

I had a lot of radnom rejections for eligible things lately (for public playgrounds, community centers etc.), and most things that got accepted had to be nominated at least 2-3 times.

While hearing on forum that people get banned for 10 days (and in future maybe more) for nominating things that do not met criteria (they just had too many nominations rejected) I won't risk getting my account banned only because there is so many wrongly rejections recently. Adding anything new is not worth the risk now.

It seems to affect more and more people. For this reason I reported the topic under "Report a bug". You are welcome to hang your screenshots there. Maybe they should take a look at it.

I have already created a thread on this topic under Report a bug. As I understand it, the topic has to be voted on before Niantic looks at it. So the more people get in touch, the sooner they look at it. Here is the link:

    Hallo zusammen,

U.a. mit absurden Ablehngründen.

    Hello, everyone,

I have been observing the following since around the end of October. My evaluations are now running much faster through Wayfarer. It used to take around 2 - 3 months, since the end of October the time for new submissions has only been around 4 days, without upgrades. However, approximately 90% - 95% of all submissions will be rejected. Before October 2021, I had a rate of accepted POIs of around 65%. I will only post about a tenth of the POIs I rejected last month here. Among other things, with absurd reasons for rejection.

How is someone supposed to learn something that can be improved on the next attempt at submission? For example, if you reject a wood carving sculpture as a "natural feature". Or a chapel is marked as not historic.

Please delete subsequent postings from me. At first the forum refused to accept the number of links. So I started to split up the links and put one link for each posting in the forum. At some point I got the message due to accounts blocked due to spam. Then I tried again to edit the comment and add the link collection. And this time it worked. I'm sorry for the empty postings afterwards.
