Use of third party photo for the supporting info
Hi! I just want to ask if it's okay to use a third party photo for the supporting info.
I have a submission, which is an art installation, that has been rejected twice since the reviewers deemed it as a seasonal display/ not permanent. So I screenshot a post from Facebook to show the date when it was launched and a message from the management of the area where the art installation is displayed to confirm that it is still there.
Here's the image that I used for the supporting info:
It's an image collage consisting of the photo that I took, a screenshot from Facebook showing its launch date, and a conversation from the management, confirming that the art installation is still on display even after a year from its launch.
And here's the email that I received stating the reason of its rejection:
Now, is it okay to use this kind of image for the supporting photo? I suppose the third party reason was due to the fact that I used a screenshot of a post from the management's Facebook page.

In your message with the management you ask if the art installation is still on display, so you think that it might be removed at any time. And thus that's temporary.
If that first photo was your main photo, I would rejected it for recognizable faces. But your support photo does strongly suggest that these installations are not permanent.
@TheFarix-PGO Nope. As I've mentioned, that's the supporting photo. The reason why I have to show those info was because the installation has been there for a year (and counting). I think that's a good indication that the installation won't be removed anytime soon. Usually art installations in malls are only displayed for a week (usually in line with a mall event) or at most, a month (for seasonal events) before it gets removed and/or showcase it elsewhere. I first submitted this sometime last year and was rejected for it being a seasonal display so I purposely waited until the end of April to check if it's still there.
@WheelTrekker-ING I just want to check if it's still there, that's all. Did a little research about the installation after submitting it sometime last year and got rejected for it being a seasonal display. Upon checking, I found out that it was opened to the public last April 2019 so I waited till the end of April 2020 to message the management if it's still there and resubmitted it when they confirmed that it's still on display. But still, it got rejected.
I mean couldn't you see it was still on display when you went there and submitted it yourself?
@grendelwulf-ING Forgot to mention that what I did was a remote submission, so I had to do that. The last time I was there was around early March, just before the lockdown started here. And yes it's still there during my visit.
@TheFarix-PGO even if that was the main photo, i wouldn't reject it for recognisable faces, the recognisable faces argument is if the faces are the focus of the picture, I.e. someone in the front of photo bombing, theres nothing wrong with people walking by, in fact I think niantic have already commented somewhere staing that.
Because only ingress allows you to select a photo from gallery, a lot of reviewers who are only used to Pokemon go will assume you're doing something "forbidden" by using this image. I've tried similar "collages" in the past though never including screenshots of text and most attempts have been rejected. Honestly I would say for this that you're probably better off using a standard supporting photo that highlights visible landmarks.
