I have been reviewing for a while now and wayspots that i think meet the criteria are being rejected or classed as duplicates even though i check for these. How do I find out why my reviews are being rejected so i can improve my reviewing in the future.

Can you give some examples here?
If you want to see what they are being duplicated against, you can open ingress and click around the nearby portals to check where your photo was added to.
If you’d like feedback on your nominations, you will have to provide examples.
I'm reviewing other peoples nominations and just wanted to know where I was going wrong as I believed what i reviewed met the criteria, but then Niantic reject them or class them as duplicates even though i check for duplicates. There isn't any way of clicking the rejected reviews in your profile to see which ones were rejected and why so i can improve my reviewing in the future.
If you are talking about agreements for duplicates on stuff you review, are you checking for stuff like a sign for a park or a church that is already in as a proxy for them? People try to sneak in duplicates to make a cluster of wayspots using various methods. You can not rely on just the image or even the precise location of nearby wayspots to catch duplicates.
It you are talking about your nominations being rejected, you do realize that Wayfarer is not just about Pokemon Go and there may be wayspots in other games or the Lightship database that are not in Pokemon Go due to cell rules?
The stats that you see are the nominations that you said "This is a duplicate" and the community agreed. Same for the rejections and approvals.
Are you referring to the statistics on your wayfarer profile that say “Nominations Rejected” or “Nominations Duplicated”? The numbers there represent agreements from submissions that you rejected or duplicated and most of the other reviewers agreed with you so that ended up being the final decision. Numbers next to those categories are a “good” thing, it means you are reviewing the same as the final decision.
Yes i thoroughly check for duplicates, especially signs and footpath signs as there are so many all looking similar.
I know there are other games that use the wayspots like Harry Potter etc but they should all be visible in Niantic Wayfarer surely.
I would just like to find out why my reviews are rejected so I can improve as a reviewer, but there is no way to do this.
Ahh I see, but why would my Wayfarer rating keep changing between good and fair and back again?

That's the problem, there is no way of knowing which reviews were rejected or classed as a duplicate so reviewers can't see what they did wrong and why the wayspot doesn't meet the criteria in other reviewers minds. It would be great if you could click on the rejections in your profile to see why they were rejected so you know for next time what to look out for.
The wayfarer rating is thought to change if you fail a “honeypot” which is a nomination that is pre-reviewed by Niantic. They are usually pretty straightforward like obviously prp.
I don’t think it is fully understood what causes a rating to drop but if it went back up to good/great and is staying there now, that is a good sign.
The header is "Agreements", those are the reviews that you agreed with other reviewers.
The other reviews might still not have a decision or you might have disagreed with the rest of reviewers, but Niantic won't provide that info to prevent any kind of misuse.
That is not necessarily so. What if 100 people view a waypoint... 40 say the photo is blurry, and 45 say it is a duplicate. In other words, 85 say this should not be a wayspot. Both reasons are true. The final message will be "Duplicate" because more reviewers said that. Should this cost the people who flagged the bad photo?
Originally, all rejections agreements, and duplicate agreements, were lumped into one profile stat. We begged for Duplicates to be broken out to its own stat (because to the nominator, they are not the same). Who's to say what algorithm Niantic used to do that? I'd guess a "Duplicate" result is considered an agreement to anyone who voted to reject, for whatever reason.
@Stuarthow-PGO Your total # reviews is equal to your Nominations Accepted + Nominations + Nominations Duplicated + Nominations disagreed + Nominations still in voting. Niantic doesn't give us those last two numbers. You can't guess how many you did not agree, and you certainly cant' guess that it's due to your votes regarding duplicates.
Niantic is vague about this on purpose, so people can't "game the system". We have been complaining about it since 2017. But we complain MORE about the potential of reviewing bots, and don't want to give them fodder.
