What is your opinion on Pokestops showcasing a painting on a wall?
There are so many of them in my area, some of them you are able to see from a public street, though they are basically located on private property walls.
I also tried to get a painting pokestop accepted (private property yes, but 100% visible when standing on the public street in front of the house)... should I try again?

Murals are eligible so long as they are not on private residential property, schools, or adult-oriented locations (liquor store, **** range, firearm store, or provides **** and/or adult content).
If they are on PRP walls, don't submit them, they are not eligible.
If you sees some Waypoints on PRP walls, report them to be deleted, so they will be less confusion on what is eligible and what is not.
prp = private single family residential property
Anything on privately owned single family residential property is ineligible. This includes artwork on fences, exterior walls, or a garage.
Artwork on an apartment complex wall or shared area of a condo should be eligible. This also applies to businesses.
Sometimes candidates get incorrectly rejected or denied. If you think yours was eligible, post some screenshots and we can help in here. If you think there are others that might not be eligible, you can ask about them, too.
No. If it is on a single family home, it is not eligible even if you can see it from the sidewalk. As a matter of fact, even if it is something like a free little library that you could reach out and touch from the sidewalk, it would not be eligible if it is on the property of a single family home.
I assume the one you tried to submit is something you painted on your house? If so quit trying to cheat the system for a couch stop and get up and walk to stops like most people need to do to play. If I see the same nominations for stuff on PRP come through multiple times in my review queue, I will tag them as abuse.
Funny how you get insulted for painting a pokestop when I just minutes ago had to select eligible pictures for a wayspot that was approved and it's a painting of the South African flag on a residential home front gate... Local business within communities can't get any shine either just because it's situated in a residential area no matter how unique it is. I logically don't get how they are any different from churches within residential areas.
Thanks for the info. I was just wondering because I've seen so many of those pokestops on private homes.

According to your comment, I guess my stop is ineligible, because it's definitely on a prp .. anyways it's sad, because the painting is very nice :)
This one is a pretty big painting that go rejected. Is it because it's in a hotel?
It shouldn't be rejected for location, see Nov 2020 AMA on limited access locations. Would probably be good to quote that if you have recieved PRP rejections for those locations.
Rather, see the Wayfarer challenge for installed paintings. Without further context, it can easily be seen as replaceable or generic furniture.
Hmm, I thought there was nuance to the liquor store location issue. The actual liquor store can't be nominated but a mural on the exterior wall can be, I think. I wouldn't nominate something inside a liquor store. And I think I'd apply the same logic to exterior walls of other adult-oriented locations, though I would definitely consider the content of the mural. If the content of a mural is also adult themed, I would not approve it.
And by the content of the mural, I don't mean that I'd deny paintings of alcohol (I have personally submitted murals that are basically ads for breweries and local craft beers). I would deny paintings that objectify women (or men) to advertise s-t-r-i-p clubs. In my local area, I would also deny anything that promoted recreational drug use since it's all still illegal here. I personally don't love murals that promote gun culture but I can't say with authority that those are not eligible. I actually submitted a mural in a small town that promoted a whole way of life that I don't identify with, including a love of guns and flag-waiving, at an entertainment complex that included activities like laser tag, archery and a gun range.
