"Well done!" Message
Im wondering if there are any others that constantly get this message after a few nomination reviews?
This might have something to do with my hometown location. I was reading some of people's tips on this and they kept stating that your hometown location shouldnt be set to the actual location you live. Luckily my bonus location was set to a another that that i frequent so its much further away from where i currently reside.
The problem with me is that my hometown location IS the place i live. lol. I've never left the place i was born. I am a hermit crab. And i wonder if this has anything to do with me "running out of" places to review. I live in Las Vegas and i hardly doubt there is an actual end to the nominations in this large city. Especially with the 40 nomination revamp. I know that the hometown location is permenant but has anyone ever successfully petitioned or gotten a Niantic employee to reset your hometown? Would that even fix receiving this message? I follow the 30 seconds between each nomination rule as well.

Wow i thought this was deleted. Do these forums need photo approval? I made this post on Friday lol.
Yes, things with photos require manual review by moderators. I'm not surprised that was extra slow on a holiday.
Yes people do successfully get the chance to reset their hometown. Lots of people make this same mistake since they way Niantic words it is so confusing. I think everyone has the chance to change it once so you should try now just to see. I had a similar problem when choosing a hometown so I set it to somewhere I know well and visit occasionally. A relative's town is a good choice. You could also choose some big town you want to visit someday if you are worried about running out of reviews. Just make sure that review area does not overlap with your current one. Home and local review areas are a box of nine S2 lv6 cells and bonus is a smaller box of lv7 cells. Your review area looks like this. https://s2.sidewalklabs.com/regioncoverer/?center=36.386014%2C-115.728010&zoom=7&cells=80b5%2C80b7%2C80b9%2C80c5%2C80c7%2C80c9%2C80cb%2C80cd%2C80cf I would be very impressed if you have actually managed to clear your local queue so you should start by opening ingress, hacking a portal, and logging back into wayfarer to reset your play location. This trick can also be used to temporarily re-center your play area by playing ingress across a lv6 border then closing the game and not opening ingress again until you are ready to reset your location.
This is extremely helpful! Thank you! The s2 lv6 cells are interesting. I looked and it seems I am unable to change my hometown location. How would you suggest i go about petitioning this? I tried to do a troubleshooting ticket but i feel like i wont be hearing back anytime soon lol.
Are you doing the reviews really quickly, and are a lot consistently the same? I've seen people say that can trigger the app to think you are a bot, and give you a cooldown, though I can't remember if it's this particular message or something different.
@NianticGiffard CaptMcJay24 made a mistake and would like some help to get a one time reset of his hometown review location since he did not understand how it works and set it to his current play area. Would this be possible please?
I read that the cooldowns could be caused by reviewing too fast. Since then i have set a timer for 30 seconds a review before submitting.😂
@NianticGiffard It looks like my free chance for a hometown reset was never given? This doesnt seem to be a cooldown, but im 100% sure living exactly where my hometown is set is affecting it.
Hey there! As a one-time courtesy and as per your request, I have performed a reset of your hometown location.
@NianticGiffard I made the same mistake. Any chance I can change my hometown as well?
Wait, is this really a thing? Should my actual hometown be... a place where I was born or had lived somewhere else... rather than the current place I've been living for x amount of years?
It might explain my supremely endless "Well done!" messages that I get after a couple of reviews each session (then it'll give me another 2-3 in like 15-30 minutes before it gives me it again, or the endless "Please retry your request!" issue.
Yep. The way it is worded in the wayfarer site is very confusing and assumes you have moved away from where you were born. It is also not helpful that as part of the new onboarding process it prompts you to set a location for it when you have no experience for the best choices.
Interesting. Are the frequent end of queue messages not intended behavior, then? Is it an issue related to hometown location? Or is it something else entirely/intended behavior?
I've been getting the end of queue message on a daily basis for several weeks now - usually after 25-40 reviews (and then about 2-3 new reviews every 30 minutes or so before the message pops up again).
I follow the regular rules of slow reviewing (usually ~2 minutes between each review) and avoiding repetitive/patterned ratings.
This is so dumb because they sent me 15 photos in a row to review. It takes less than 5 seconds to review. Than were not allow to review anymore? 75% of everything Does not meet eligibility criteria, photo taken wrong, in correct title, fakes or on private property. Than they show up multiple times and by the time we get to a few real ones, we can't do anymore.
Litery, I have seen sideways photos, 3rd party photos, pictures of Pokémon, pictures of people, photos with cars in it, people marking there room, people marking there home, People marking cars, People marking cups, people taking a photo in one spot and marking it somewhere else, things on private property, marking apartments, marking nursing homes, Fake titles of the same place, photos with nothing to prove title is correct, bench's that are not memorials, fake rest stops that are already pavilions or shelters, flag poles, and Christmas decorations. This is all rejected and a small list off daily bull **** I have to deal with. I can hardly get to a real one before being told "well done" or "cool down".
Because you reject any nominations not in English.
If you're still reviewing against the criteria then please stop using Wayfarer.
It's Niantics job to make the system usable, not ours to figure out what language reviews we are given.
I agree that Wayfarer should provide built-in translation tools, but that doesn't excuse any reviewers who are simply rejecting submissions without a valid reason. If a reviewer is inconvenienced that much by the current Wayfarer setup, then as much as I hate the backlogs, I'd rather that reviewer quit reviewing than keep intentionally rejecting valid nominations.
@NianticTintino
Perhaps a quick "official" word here along the lines of "Waypoint nominations should not be rejected purely on the basis that the submission is not presented in your native language" would be very helpful, and avoid a lot of arguments and nomination rejections further down the line?
Thanks.
