Community mailboxes eligibility

I live in an area where community mailboxes are the norm and many around the city have been approved as wayspots.
So i nominated one and upgraded it
I included another pic to show it is a community mailbox
It got declined for "other rejection criteria" within 2 hours
Now I want to appeal but I'd like your view on it.
There are No other wayspots within 200 yards so that's not the issue
Thank you

That’s an extremely hard sell, 99 percent of people would say it’s an instant rejection.
Other **** exists. Mail boxes like those are not eligible because they don't meet any eligibility criteria and do meet the "mass-produced, generic, or not visually unique or interesting" rejection criteria and should not be approved in the first place. Just because others have been wrongly approved doesn't mean your nomination should be accepted.
Looking at the picture, it appears to be uniquely painted. Unless every mailbox in every community in that area uses a leave-motif.
Nope, that is a completely standard Canada Post mailbox design, I'm afraid.
That's exactly why local reviewing is so important :>
Here most mailboxes like that are plain-jane metal. A few complexes/subdivisions paint out their box and would make better POIs.
oki doki
The U.S. has Federal privacy laws about freestanding mailboxes. A wayspot there would be illegal.
Background: Originally everyone had to go to their county seat and personally sign any legal papers. That quickly got untenable, so they made it legal to conduct business by mail. And made it illegal to tamper with the mail or its delivery. BUT then the mob and mafia came along - they would stand at people's mailbox, to bully them into signing paperwork against their wishes. So the government made it illegal to hang around them. Deeds, subpoenas, divorce, bankruptcy, loans, **** certificates - lots of legal paperwork is done through the mail.
I expect other countries have the same situations and laws.

In France it's mandatory to have a standardized mailbox on single family homes, and it has to be legally put with one side on private property and the other on a public and publicly accessible sidewalk/road. For appartments rules are different.
In UK, it's the opposite. No standardized mailbox and the "box" had to be on private property (free of access)
Just to add to @MargariteDVille-ING's comment, it is also a Federal crime to open or otherwise tamper with a mailbox other than your own unless you are the duly appointed mail carrier for that route. That was something that was drilled into us when I was working for the Census back in 2000.
I have the same problem. Public mail boxes are normal in my location, but all time my nominations are rejected. I have no other interesting, ancient, or any other special places nearby. IDK maybe I should ride to other Town to play? No thanks.
They are rightfully rejected unless you are in the UK and they are old enough to qualify.
Perhaps walk to get to stops. Places don't need to be interesting. I find it hard to believe that your area completely lacks parks, hiking trails, murals or any sort of public art.
