Max Daily Limit of 40?

So I started getting this message that I've never seen before yesterday while I was out and about:
"You have reached your max daily Portal nominations of 40."
I put quite a bit of time into authoring my nominations so I only attempted one portal submission since beginning to receive this message. The interface allowed me to get all the way to the end, but 3 separate times I received an error indicating the was an issue uploading the photos to the image server. I have not attempted another portal submission since I received this message yesterday, but upon counting in Wayfarer, I can confirm I have wayyyy more than 40 submissions sitting "In Queue" with a handful more sitting "In Voting" so I was able to cross that possiblity off the checklist. Has anyone else experienced such a message before? Does anyone know the cause or a potential solution? Or do I just need to wait?

Update: So this actually meant I had OVER 40+ nominations available at the time of this message!

Don't worry. It just means you can submit 40 portal nominations before having to wait for more nominations to be unlocked! The wording is wonky, but it's not an error and it shouldn't worry you.

I actually keep a Google Map of all my portal candidates. Been waiting for something like this to happen so I can just go out and fire off 40 nominations all at once. I'm probably going to use all of them within 1 km of where I live. I've been getting griefed lately by my own faction putting link amps on my home portals so the way I've been combating it is by creating so many new portals that they can't possibly get to all of them 😊
Technically Ingress players lost 1 potential nomination.
Ingress allowed banking of 14 nominations and each one reset every 13 days after being used. Because it was only 13 days, you'd theoretically be able to nominate faster than 14 per 2 weeks. I doubt this will really affect many negatively, but it is technically a setback.
For me, will be highly advantageous when traveling, but will likely have limited affect on day to day submissions.
I haven't nominated anything in 2022 Just now opened the nomination process, and it says "You have reached your daily Portal nominations of 40".
Its poorly phrased.
It means you have built up to the maximum of 40 nominations available for you to use. So you have 40 available and not 40 used.
What would be a better way to phrase this sentence so that it is universally understood? While there is by no doubt, a lack of shortage of people wondering what on earth this means, maybe Niantic could take some suggestions.
On another note, I really wish it would stop mentioning "PokeStop" and "Trainers" in the nomination processes and make it game-neutral, regardless of what game they're nominating from.
You now have the maximum number of nominations (40) available to use
"You have accrued your maximum Portal nominations of 40."
Better:
"You have accrued your maximum of 40 Wayspot nominations."
I am looking at my current message which is : You have 36 Portal nominations available today. 1 more Portal nominations will be added tomorrow.
That message should read: You have 36 Wayspot nominations available today. 1 more Wayspot nomination will be added tomorrow.
Then the 40 max message could go from there: You have 40 Wayspot nominations available today. No more Wayspot nominations may be accrued until 1 is used.
I was able to go out this weekend and submit 40 😍 it was like a dream!
I’m hoping they change it to a game neutral description for Ingress & Pokémon GO shortly.
You can easily create an entire farm if you have the mind to! There is a community xeriscape garden near where I live with over 52 numbered specimens with scientific name plaques and I went through two full battery charges submitting as many as I could!
It is *extremely* poorly worded. I wanted to make two nominations today, in an area where I had never been before, but didn't, because I thought that I was unable to make any nominations at all, due to a system error. Moreover, it is quite unlikely that I will ever return to that area, so probably the waystops will never happen. Does anyone from Niantic read these forums and could get this corrected?
My only issue is every time I go to take the 2nd photo, the game crashes and has to restart, but the 2nd time it works for me. I just close out my game now before making nominations so it does not crash. The other issue is everything is denied or does not show up. I am a expert at this as so is my brother. We know what is and is not excepted, have perfect pictures, no cars/people in photo, perfect title, no duplicates (yes we do look on here) and get denied with no reason why. They need a better system to except/denied as most just skip or denied to get to their town. It ticks me off a bit because 75% of nominations are fake, peoples homes, peoples room, pictures sideways, cars in photo, Pokémon screen shots, wrong tiles or just Does not meet eligibility criteria. By the time you reject the 75% fakes, they put you on a cool down. Really? Maybe you need a system to catch these so were not wasting our time. I could be looking at the 25% that are real. Could be looking at the ones from my town that I personally know.
They also take way to long to let you know, if they even do, on wither or not that there excepted or denied. My towns small so I do not want to hit the same stuff sending them in if it is still in review but at the same time if they do not take them serious I rather send doubles.
