Where are the Appeal Results???

I have nominations with "appeal" for more than a month (as I believe other users, too).
Are there news about this topic? @NianticTintino @NianticGiffard
Has anyone received any results of the appeals?
Thanks
Best Regards

yes what happend ? i have yet to hear anyone getting results....
Maybe if people didn't abuse the bug that let you appeal once a day instead of once every thirty days, we would be seeing something.
The most basic rules of software design:
1) If the system lets a user do it, they will do it.
2) If the system doesn't let a user do it, they will find a creative solution to do it anyway.
Anyone involved in software design who doesn't understand these fundamentals has no business being in software design.
Niantic wants to keep stum on this, because they know that we know they know what people are doing. They dont trust their playerbase. We dont trust them either.
Hello there :)
waiting for a month is perfectly fine and it is not unusual. Be patient..
The December AMA said they weren't doing anything for six months. So, probably July or August.
That's a perfectly reasonable timeline, since (I believe) they're using them to train Machine Learning. To train ML for AI, you need millions of correct pairs (nomination, result). Niantic already has millions, but too many are incorrect. They're letting us appeal so that they have better data to feed their ML (or test it - you need to save 20% for testing). IMO the goal is AI (Artificial Intelligence) that can process the majority of nominations, and kick out ones it's not sure of, for reviewers to decide.
It's also reasonable because where I live, a nomination made today wouldn't be resolved until the 4th quarter of 2022 (or so). Appealing is faster!
How? Like i know the pile is getting bigger from the bug, but how would being able to submit more mean no answer? Surely it would mean we would have more answers if it had started
Reminder that while most users of the platform review new nominations, appealed nominations are reviewed by NIA directly, so like mentioned above this process takes some time like how old submissions used to take, due to the amount of users who only submitted their monthly appeal and users who submitted an appeal daily the longer workload will mean it will take longer to be reviewed, a 6-7 month timeframe is a reasonable expectation.
I’m not sure these are being collected for machine learning. I’m pretty sure there is going to be a real person who has to carefully read the supporting detail which can be potentially very lengthy and accompanies each appeal.
I would hope that Niantic prioritizes the first appeals for reviews. So the volume of later appeals shouldn’t really make any difference since the first ones would be decisioned first
Or they only review one appeal per person per month, so someone who appealed 21 nominations has to wait 21 months to get the results
A real person HAS to accept/reject each appeal, to feed to the Machine Learning, so it can learn. But they can be contractors, then cut once AI can process, say, 80% (kicking out 20% for human review).
Why be so mean to long-time nominators? How about: each appeal should be processed five years after its nomination date! (That's how long many of us have already waited.)
But both those ideas are scarcity thinking. I think Niantic wants abundance - more and more and more, from all five years, and from giving us all 40 nomination slots.
How would that work though? How would an ai be able to differentiate what's good, bad, fake, real, well written, load of garbage, a good photo, a bad photo, exists on google maps, might exist, doesnt exist etc. That keel would have me worried an arnie in a leather jacket was coming for a woman who will birth humanities savior lol
That shouldn't impact how long it takes them to start evaluating appeals. They could have 1000 appeals to do or they could have 1,000,000 appeals to do but doing one appeal takes the same time either way and so far zero have been evaluated.
That is actually not the answer provided:
