Hello @supermathisen-PGO,
Thanks for reporting. We are aware of this issue. I'll report back when I get more information from our team.
Safe Exploring!
Last we heard from @NianticGiffard said this was working as intended. I know the community was very upset about this... is there a chance it really is a bug?
Correct, working as expected per the update but I know the community asked for us to reconsider so I brought it to the team and hoping to get the final decision this week. There is a chance it may not be changed (confirming it's not a bug) but I still wanted to bring it up to them via a feature request.
Hope that makes sense.
Thank you very much for reconsidering. Much appreciated.
Seems that with new release 4.5 the Edit button is removed from "in voting" nominations:
So I think you could not even see the "Unable to withdraw submission. (E1)" message anymore :)
I managed to withdraw a submission about 4 or 5 days ago.
Submitted something only to realise it was a duplicate but I couldn't see it was there because it had multiple layers of a field over it. Never did like the grey portals Prime brought with it
How did you manage to withdraw a submission in voting? Since there is no "Edit" button available anymore (which makes a lot of sense if you think about it) after the submission went into voting. Therefore you shouldnt be able to withdraw (or edit) submission in voting.
I really hope this goes through. It's unfathomable to me why this would be a feature. I have a load of old, rubbish submissions that are in the "In Voting" pool and I'd really like to just withdraw them since I know they will be rejected. Withdrawing them would help better nominations get approved faster.
My bad, I didn't see in the post that it was related to submissions that had already gone in to voting.
The one I removed was still in the queue
Thank you very much for reconsidering. Would very much like being able to withdraw an "in voting" nomination as a feature. Reasons have been explained by many.
Did you have any luck convincing the team that this needs to be changed?
I just discovered that something I submitted in December was subsequently approved for somebody else. Unfortunately, my submission went into voting, presumably after the other one was approved. This is a very, very, slow area, and it's completely insane that I can't withdraw my now-duplicate submission.
Who is this serving? And is any abuse that it might be curbing (can't think of how it would be abused for that matter) worth the fact that it's just contributing to the backlog?
